Shark Boy stands motionless in front of Lee; his gaze firmly fixed in the now maniacal eyes of Lee as his mask slipped further and further. Shark Boy looks down at the mic, the ripped shirt, the remnants of a full scale breakdown of the facade Lee has been showing the world now for months. Shark Boy looks his challenger up and down and raises the microphone to his tooth-lined mouth.
Shark Boy: And so the real Trevor Lee finally decided to show up?...
Shark Boy stares at Lee who perhaps is coming off the adrenaline of his own ranting and raving.
Well that's good because I know for a fact these past few months that you've been spewin' nothin' but bullcarp out of that mealy little mouth of yours from the jump. You wanna come out here and shake Shark Boy's hand?, you wanna be Shark Boy's friend? - EH-EH - from day one I've seen through you, I've seen through all the pomp and circumstance, the Southern Hospitality, the kind Mayor, the gentlemen because I know that when push comes to shove under that ten dollar hat and that fifty cent shirt you just tore off your own back... under that hairy exterior lies a man broken mentally, a man unhinged and when push comes to shove, when his back is against the wall I know that Trevor Lee is nothin' short of a damn lunatic, an animal and I ain't sayin' it to run ya down son, I'm sayin' it cos it's the truth.
See I've got my own demons...
Shark Boy pauses as the crowd hushes, remembering Shark Boy's more savage outbursts against Edge.
And truth be told - I don't know what brings them on, I don't know if I can harness them but I'll tell ya what, I don't deny that they're there because they are certainly part of Shark Boy. Whether it's somewhere in the psyche I don't know, Shark Boy ain't no shrink and I ain't fixin' to lay on a couch and talk about Mama Shark anytime soon. But I don't come out here and deny it. You wanna call Shark Boy a manipulator, a liar, a politician - that's fine - it's just another figment of this imaginary little world you've painted. But reality is that yeah, Shark Boy - or some version of Shark Boy sprayed mist in the eyes of Edge to become UWF Champion, Shark Boy or some version of Shark Boy choked Edge out in front of his whole family - had his kids in tears. I ain't proud of it - truth be told I'm a little scared of it but am I gon' sit here and deny the truth when millions of people around the world saw it on the UWF Network?, nah son, that ain't Shark Boy's style. And if ya ask me?... quite frankly that son of a fish Edge deserved everything he got and that's some more truth.
But you, you run around giving it the Mayor act, the Southern Gentleman. When it's as far from the truth as you can get and right now when I look into the eyes of the real Trevor Lee I can see that yeah, I've got my work cut out for me come 'Mania, I've got a bum-arm, I've got one of the biggest risin' stars across the ring from me and now finally, finally the mask has slipped and here stands the rantin', ravin', frothin' at the mouth son of a fish I knew was in there all along... but all I gotta ask is Trevor - how far are you willing to push it and how far are you sure you wanna push it because we all saw what happened to Edge and I can't promise the same won't come your way.
Shark Boy lowers the microphone and a cold glare comes across his eyes as he looks into the frenetic image of Lee in front of him.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves because I don't think it's needed. I don't think it's even merited. See Edge?, Edge was nothin' short of a bastard. That man came after me individually, he tried to end my career on multiple occasions, his focus was on Shark Boy and Shark Boy alone. But you?... you took a different route. You tried to sweet-talk ol' Shark Boy into being complacent. Into bein' yer damn friend. All the while yer Harlan friends did all the damn dirty work but here we stand alone and I can see in those pale blues eyes of yours that it was your plan all along. To lull Shark Boy into this false sense of security well I hate to break it to ya kid, I didn't shake yer hand after ya won the Royal Rumble, I didn't shake yer hand this past Revolution and I didn't shake yer hand because I see right through ya, through everything and I see Trevor Lee ain't nothin' but a scared little snake bastard.
You stand there and call Shark Boy a failure?... son I've been doin' this since y'all were in diapers and for years, yeah, Shark Boy was the failure. The perennial laughin' stock. I'd show up, have a good couple months, maybe a lil' couple week run with the US Title, maybe a few backstage skits and Shark Boy would be out the revolving door of the UWF again back workin' for used car salesmen in rec centres makin' gas money. You wanna talk about comin' up in Harlan?, try comin' up, growin' up, becomin' a man in this business. You came straight from Harlan with the riches of bein' Mayor. You came right in and made yerself at home winnin' the TV Title and ya had a shell of a reign and now you're on top with Shark Boy, the top shark in this game. Name in the billboards. Do you even know how long it took Shark Boy to get here you sorry son of a fish.
There's a passion in Shark Boy's voice as he steps forward to Lee, Lee's intensity never backing down either as the crowd reach fever pitch.
Years of bein' a joke, years of bein' a laughin' stock, a damn decade of mediocrity until finally it all came together. I scratched, I clawed, I did everything I could - through broken bones, mental breakdowns and abject poverty and destitiution I stuck through it all and I won the respect not only of the fans but of my peers and I ain't looked back. Everyone thought Sharky had his moment in the sun all those years ago when I first won this title. A flash in the pan, transitional champion, one and done - throwin' the comedy guy a lil' bone for stickin' through all the bass whoopins. But I came back Trevor and I kept comin' back and when I came to the Revolution... well it was a cod damn revelation. Look at the names I've fought - night one, I beat the UWF Champion CM Punk... I've fought Eddie Kingston, I've fought Dean Ambrose, Batista, Danhausen, that rat-bastard Edge. I've been in there with the old-school and I've been in there with the studs on the come-up like Tommaso Ciampa and MJF. And if ya look at the win-loss record Trevor, there is one thing Shark Boy ain't and let me tell ya, Shark Boy ain't no cod damn loser no more... nah, this shark is the UWF World Heavyweight Champion.
You wanna talk about failure then I suggest you look closer to home because for the past few months you've tried to rattle Shark Boy. You've tried - unwittingly or not - to tear apart my friends, the few men in this industry I can call friends. You stand there and you suggest I overlook this title just because I care about my brothers?, that shows a lot about the kinda self-centred son of a fish you really are and it shows me just why so many damn crackpots come out of that hellhole of yours down in Harlan. Nah, I don't overlook the title, I don't look past Trevor Lee - I just look after my brothers and when the numbers game was against ol' Shark Boy, sure I made the call to Paul Burchill... but let's not ignore it was only because you made the call yourself to Lance Cade... or was it Garrison?, I forget...
Lee shakes his head, Shark Boy doesn't care he's in his face, eye to eye.
You tried to break me down through attacking my friends and all it done was brought us closer together and made me even more hungry to put a bass whoopin' on you, on Lance Cade, on Butcher Bitch - shell, I'm feelin' pretty damn ready to stomp my way down to Harlan and stomp a mudhole in the whole damn town and raise that place to the ground. You tried to rattle me, you tried to fool me and the only person that's gon' feel foolish is you Trevor because it's all gon' be for nothin'. And when this elabroate plan of yours comes crashin' down around ya, what happens then?... do ya go back to Harlan with yer tail between yer legs, do ya pack yer bags back down to playin' grab bass with Leyton Buzzard for the TV Title?... I don't know what yer gon' do but I'd start plannin' son because at Wrestlemania when that glass shatters there's one shell of a bass whoopin' comin' your way. And then afterwords you can look in the mirror... look deep in those beady lil' blue eyes of yours and see for yourself just what a damn failure looks like.
Shark Boy lowers his voice and looks at the UWF Title and then at the big Wrestlemania sign before fixing his stare firmly on his opponent for the final time.
The games are over, the plotting is over - at Wrestlemania you better believed I'm focused on one thing and one thing only that's keepin' this here belt over my shoulder and I plan on doin' that at your expense, by goin' through you and by showin' you there's three things in life ya just don't do... ya don't tug on Superman's cape... ya don't piss in the wind and ya don't go swimmin' with sharks when you ain't got a damn clue what you're messin' with. At Wrestlemania?, you're in for one shell of a shock son, I'm bringin' ya back down from the moon and I'm takin' ya straight down to the depths for a bass whoopin' you ain't ever gon' forget and THAT'S THE FISHIN' LINE... COS SHARK BOY SAID SO....
Shark Boy tosses the mic and raises the title high in the air as both men step to each other in the centre of the ring. Shark Boy's head bobbing back and forth, to-and-thro as he mouths off a whole bunch of expletives in Lee's direction. Lee looks almost animalistic in his gaze - somehow equally split between his opponent and his ultimate goal. The crowd are at a fever pitch as both men refuse to budge with the Wrestlemania sign looming in the background.
