Pyro goes off all throughout the arena and the camera zooms around, showing numerous fans all showing their support for the return of NXT, We then go ringside where Corey Graves and Tom Phillips are standing by.
Tom Phillips: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to NXT! I'm Tom Phillips and with me is my broadcast partner, former International Champion, Corey Graves.
Corey Graves: We're coming off the heels of a great TakeOver back in Broken where STILL Your UWF International Champion is none other than Kevin Steen.
Tom Phillips: And after Takeover you have to wonder will Kevin Steen's reign of terror on NXT ever end? It may, because tonight also starts the Road to Wrestlemania.
Corey Graves: The Royal Rumble is just around the corner and we are less then 12 hours away from the big announcement of who is in that match. Tonight we may find out some of the first entrants. Plus in our main event the UWF NXT Tag Team Championships will be on the line as the Champion Wyatt Family go against the former Champions the Young Bucks.
Corey Graves and Tom Phillips are interrupted by....
Without any warning, the lights all around the arena cut out, sending the capacity crowd into an excited uproar. The titantron flashes to life, with two, bold words appearing on the massive screen.
THE UNION
At that point, a siren-eqsue sound pieces through the PA, each alternating tone accompanied by a flashing light.
When the riff kicks in, three men walk out on to the ramp. It takes the fans a moment to see who they are, but when they finally do recognize them, the cheer are instantly replaced with boos.
The longest reigning world champion in UWF history, Kevin Steen, leads the way with Matt and Nick Jackson following closely behind. The trio marches purposefully towards the squared circle, their new entrance music rivaling the jeers of the fans the whole way down.
Climbing into the ring, the faction grabs a set of microphones and take a stance in the center of the ring. The music cuts out, and they don't wait for the fans to settle down before starting.
Kevin: NXT... this is it. This is the realization. This is the dream becoming a reality. This is a promise being kept. Finally... this is the change we told you we'd bring.
About a year ago, Ethan Carter took over here. About that same time, The Bucks here were hired and I started on my way to becoming the UWF International Champion. All four of us had a vision for what this show could be. We wanted something new, something better. We wanted to bring back real professional wrestling. We wanted to put integrity and respect and honour back into this sport.
It didn't take us long to climb to the top. Barring a few screwjobs, and soon to fixed later tonight, The Bucks have been tag team champions pretty much since they walked in the door. And me, well, I just beat Mysterio's record to become the longest reigning champion in history. Call it dominance. Call it excellence. And remember that we always told you so.
Now... along the way, yeah, there have been some "speedbumps". Sure. There have been some problems. A lot of people have tried to stop us - there are some people who want to hold on to the past, or who are too selfish to work with us to build a better future. At some point, Ethan Carter became one of those people.
And since then, we haven't been able to be the leaders that this show deserves. I've been forced to defend my championship week after week after week after week against undeserving contenders who got to pick their own stipulations. The Bucks lost their titles when the entire roster was pitted against them. Instead of getting thanks or respect for the game-changing hard work we put in, we were slapped across the face. We are the ones that built NXT, and now that it's built, Carter wants it all to himself.
That's not going to happen.
So it's time we took things one step further. It's time we took the power back, once and for all. We're not going to be the victims of a crazy power trip. We're taking control.
The Bucks finally speak up...
Nick: Say hello to the mother freakin' Union, kids.
Matt: Officially, the First Wrestler's Union... it's clever, cause like, FWU is UWF backwards... so it's like, ya know, a secret little "SUCK IT" to the man.
Kevin nods and continues.
Steen: Exactly. We're not playing nice. We're not cooperating. Not anymore, not after all that's happened. Our legal team is hard at work right now, drafting up our demands and terms to be delivered to UWF headquarters.
What does this mean? It means that guys like us - the best and the brightest stars of this sport - won't be treated like garbage anymore. It means we won't be put in dangerous matches against our will against men who don't deserve the opportunity to begin with. And this isn't just for us - it's for everyone. Just like we always have, we're making wrestling better for the wrestlers and for the fans. I don't expect you morons to understand, but one day, you'll look back and thank us.
Now, tonight, Nick and Matt are going to win back their UWF NXT Tag Team Championships in a match they should have been given weeks ago. After that, don't expect to see us step foot in this ring again until our demands our met. Once this Union is recognized by the United States government, we'll be unstoppable. But that's a process that takes time. Until then, I don't plan on defending this title....
I mean, after all, who would I even defend it against? Is there a guy on this roster that's been around for more than a month that I haven't already beat? Hell, most of I've got twice, even three times now. Reigns, Bryan, Uso, Punk, Rhino, Wyatt, Ziggler, Angle, Roode... none of them could beat me. I have a record breaking nine consecutive title defenses in a row. No wins by disqualification. Just straight up victories. I'm better than these losers in ways nobody had ever thought possible. NXT is cleared out. Maybe if someone worth my time wins the Royal Rumble I'll put this title on the line again, but who knows? I'm good to just wait and see until The Union comes through, cause in the mean time, I can't think of a man alive who's earned a shot at me...
???: Yooo whooooo, Kevin. Up here Darling.
Kevin Steen appears taken aback by the interruption but he looks up at the titantron where it is revealed just who interrupted him. Sitting there up on the titantron is none other then The Duchess of Dudleyville, Stacy Keibler. However, she isn't in her usual Dudley Camo, she is dressed in a nice dress and all the works.
Stacy: I'm so sorry....... not sorry for cutting you off Kevin but I think I speak for everyone in attendance and everyone watching at home that it was about time someone shut you up!!!
The crowd cheers Stacy, agreeing with her as Kevin just smirks up at her and nods his head sarcastically.
Stacy: Now I'm currently on the titantron to give you a little bit of credit. As much as you make my skin crawl, so much so that even my goosebumps feel like worms, you did a great job at NXT Takeover. I'll admit, what you did not just that night but what you did in 2016 has etched your name in UWF history. You don't need me to tell you that though do you, especially since you now hold the record for the Longest Title Reign in UWF, so congrats Kevin, congrats for defeating everyone that has ever been put before you in UWF.
Stacy begins to clap on screen as Kevin now has a smile on his face, lapping up Stacy's applause as the crowd seems to kind of follow lead with a splatter of claps around the arena. Stacy stops however, raising one finger but Kevin doesn't see this as he is lifting his title for everyone to see. Kevin only notices once Stacy begins to speak again.
Stacy: You have beaten everyone, apart from 1 man. You see Kevin, you can lay claim to beating Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio, Jimmy Uso, CM Punk, Rhyno, Robert Roode, Kurt Angle, the list will go on and on but there is one man that you haven't managed to defeat and in my opinion, he is the greatest man on this planet, I am of course talking about MY man, Spike Dudley. You see Kevin, I know perfectly well that you were expecting my man to face you when it was his time in charge of NXT. We know that's what you had in mind but my man doesn't take the easy way. You might be standing there, trying to pick your small little brain and wonder why I'm bringing this up to you. I have it on good authority that EC3 has nothing planned for you at the Royal Rumble. Absolutely nothing, not even an inkling of an idea... That is where I come in.
The crowd start to fidget as they are starting to get really interested in what is happening.
I have always been quite the business woman, I know the way this industry works so when I discovered this out, I decided to make a little trip to EC3. I believe he owes us one after we saved NXT from being run by the likes of you and The Young Bucks. As you may have seen on Takeover, my man Spike Dudley has been training for his guaranteed International Title Shot, the shot my man won and deserves. I would be lying if I said he was ready to go right now as he is currently right behind me learning how to act once he becomes Champion with a little help from an old friend, George Clooney but I believe and EC3 agreed to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and say that Spike Dudley would be ready to go at say......... The Royal Rumble
The crowd let's out a massive cheer, cheering for the fact NXT now has a Main Event at the Rumble and cheering that Spike will get his title shot. Stacy has a massive smile on her face as Kevin looks far from impressed.
So at the Royal Rumble, it will be Spike Dudley vs Kevin Steen for that International Title Kevin and I can guarantee you that your Title Reign will come to an end when Spike Dudley becomes not only the man to end your Record Reign but the first man to defeat you twice. Now that my friend, is straight from the Hancock's mouth.
The crowd are starting a Dudley chant as Stacy is smiling ear to ear with this announcement. Stacy waves to the camera and blows a kiss as Kevin has lost it in the ring as the titantron goes to black.
An image becomes apparent on the screen, it features none-other than TM-61 on the tin, and it no doubt concerns their loss at NXT Takeover.
As the image is casted, the commentary booth follows up--
Tom Phillips: "Ladies and Gentlemen, later tonight, we'll receive an update on the future endeavors of TM-61, after their loss at NXT: Takeover."
Corey Graves: "This'll be good... --No, really, it's time to see what TM-61's really made of. As a former International Champion, I know what it takes to be a contender. It takes the instinct to get back up, after you've been beaten down, after you've been systematically told you weren't good enough. It takes the guts to spit in the face of any kind of reason, where you would normally just stay down and wallow in your own bath of muck. I want to see this, Tom."
Tom Phillips: "Well, I'm willing to bet they aren't not called The Might Don't Kneel for nothing, Corey. But, we'll find out, later tonight!"
The scene fades out, and another in--
Jerichos theme blast through the music as the he comes appears with this back and his light up jacket facing the crowd. The fans pop for his entrance as he makes his way down to the ring. As he gets half way down the ramp
Batistas theme blares throughout the arena as none other than the Animal shows up. The fans give him a mildly mixed reaction as he makes his way down the ramp only stopping for his signature pyro. The duo walk into the ring together as Chimel makes the introductions.
Tony Chimel:The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! introducing first, at a combined weight of 517 pounds, Chris Jericho and Batista!
The duo enters the ring and Jericho plays up to the crowd but Batista looks to be all business. They don't have to wait long for their opponents however.
That one-one-two pulsing of the drum and the kicking in of the organ herald their arrival, and not long after, the goons collectively known as Decay stroll out from the back. The first is Steve, almost soft-shoeing out onto the stage and soon joined by Rosemary. The two lock in an embrace and kiss right at the top of the ramp as Abyss lumbers out, arms extended in his classic pose.
Tony Chimel:And their opponents, at a combined weight of 550 pounds, being accompanied to the ring by Rosemary, Crazzy Steve and Abyss, The Decay!
The trio walks down the ramp, ready as all hell to unleash some havoc. They enter the ring and don't back down from Jericho and Batista, Crazzy Steve trying to get in their faces but the ref backs him away. Jericho says he'll start things off and Steve does the same as the ref calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
Steve walks right up to Jericho and turns his head to the side. He laughs in his face maniacally but Jericho just slaps the taste out of his mouth. Steve keeps his head turned for awhile until he snaps it back and starts laughing once again. Jericho goes to punch him but Steve ducks under and slaps him across the chest twice before sending him to the ropes. Jericho reverse and sends Steve instead. Chris bends over for a back body drop but upon rebounding off the ropes, Steve slides on his knees and bites Jericho on his forehead. The ref quickly gets between the two and Jericho rushes back to his corner, asking Batista if he's bleeding. He nods no but tags himself in.
Tom Phillips: The Decay sure are a... interesting group.
Corey Graves: We just saw a man bite another man in the face. Interesting is an understatement.
Batista slowly enters the ring but Steve doesn't back down. He instead just laughs at him before rushing forward but Batista takes his head off with just a step in and a massive clothesline. Batista readjust his shoulder as if he hit him so hard it was dislocated. Steve is sitting up, reaching out at nothing in particular but Batista brings him back to his feet anyways, lifting him up onto his shoulder and running forward with a powerslam. Batista looks up and stares right at Abyss and he covers Crazzy Steve.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Steve kicks out! Batista sits up on his knees, still staring at Abyss. He gets up and brings Steve up with him but instead of hitting another manuver, he tosses Steve to his own corner and dares Abyss to come in. The Monster tags in and comes over the ropes, the two behemoths walkign up to each other and sizing one another up.
Corey Graves: Oh ho! Here we go! Hoss fight!
Abyss throws the first punch but Batista blocks it and starts unloading with some of his own. He staggers Abyss, sending him back into the ropes. He shoots him off the ropes but Abyss reverses, sending him instead. Batista comes back as Abyss goes for a clothesline but Batista ducks under it and keeps running. He bounces off the ropes once more and this time takes down Abyss with a spear! The crowd actually cheers Batista who goes to pin him but Abyss kicks out before the ref can even count to one! Batista drags him back up but Abyss rushes forward and and backs Batista into the corner. Jericho tags himself in while Batista holds him. Jericho punches him in the gut a few times but Abyss powers out of Batista's grasp and knocks Chris back. He then clotheslines Batista so hard in the corner that it makes him fall to a seated position.
Jericho runs back up to Abyss and tries for the Code Breaker but Abyss keeps him lifted in the air, throwing him down on the mat for a powerbomb of sorts. Jericho rolls over to his knees and tries to get away but Abyss lifts him back up, placing him onto his shoulders in a reverse fireman's carry. Jericho is trying to wiggle out of it but Abyss' power is able to keep him firm in place until he drops down for the Shock Treatment! Abyss cradles back and forth before pinning Chris.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Jericho kicks out! Abyss is in no mood to delay the outcome of this match, picking up Jericho and irish whipping him to the ropes, perhaps looking for the Black Hole Slam. Jericho however hangs onto the ropes to prevent going to Abyss. Abyss runs forward and Chris lowers the ropes to send Abyss tumbling over but he manages to stay on the apron. He gets back to his feet but Jericho runs to the corner, springboarding off the ropes to dropkick Abyss on the apron and send him to the floor below. Abyss lands on his feet however but Batista looks to take care of that until Rosemary gets in the way and blocks the path to Abyss. The ref tries to maintain order on the outside as Crazy Steve hops into the ring and turns Jericho around, spitting green mist in his face! Crazzy Steve quickly jumps back onto the middle ropes before leaping off with the diving DDT to Jericho!
Tom Phillips: And the numbers game once again coming to the aid of the Decay.
Corey Graves: I don't know if you've noticed Tom, but they're not exactly here to fight for the honor of the sport. They do whatever they want and quite frankly, I don't know if there's anyone who can stop them.
Batista backs away as Abyss slides into the ring and covers Jericho, unaware of what just happened to his own partner.
1 . . .
2 . . .
3 . . .
But Jericho kicks out! Abyss doesn't show any emotion in his face. Instead getting right back up and walking over to tag in Crazzy Steve. Steve comes in and Abyss sets him up in a powerbomb position. Batista doesn't quite know what to make of it until Abyss throws Steve down on top of Jericho! Abyss runs over and tries to knock Batista off the apron but Batista hits him with a forearm to the face. The Animal tries to get into the ring but Rosemary is holding onto his leg on the outside as Steve lays on top of Jericho for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
3 . . .
Tony Chimel:Here are your winners, Crazzy Steve and Abyss, the Decay!
The Decay celebrates in the ring but Batista is having none of it. He slides into the ring and attacks Abyss from behind. Crazzy Steve jumps on his back and tries to choke him out while Rosemary goes for his legs. They hold Batista in place long enough for Abyss to hit him with a big boot to the face. Batista falls down and Abyss picks up Jericho, chokeslaming him on top of Batista! The Decay once more poses over the duo as the scene fades out.
The camera pans backstage to where we see CM Punk, an interviewer approaches him but CM Punk shoves him out of the way and picks up the camera. CM Punk walks down a hallway into a dark area where he pans the camera onto himself and speaks.
CM Punk:
It's clear as day, that once I had 'passion', that I once had this 'burning desire' in me to be the absolute best in the world. They say this 'Passion' is long gone, that I'm no longer interested... I've sat here having to rethink about everything that's happened in NXT in 2016 and quite honestly, I look back and I do not see one sense of failure at all. Kevin Steen has been an extremely lucky man, heck... he's managed to still be International Champion after all this time. So now I'm thrown into the pack of wolves, I am thrown into a match against Owen Hart, a man I do not care for. My intentions around here hasn't changed, yet I must continue to face all these people. That's why my 'passion' has no longer been seen; that is why I am the way I am. Tonight, Owen wants me to bring the absolute best; assuming that he wants to see the 'real me'; but how can I deliver that if I don't care? How am I suppose to deliver when I'm frustrated as fuck? All I've ever done is try and I've never made it over the line, ever. You've stolen every opportunity I've got and I'm pretty sure I've ran out of these opportunities, so what do you do when you've ran out and want one more? You can't sit here and mope and bitch; you get sent back to the bottom of the pack and try again? To me, there's no purpose in doing so because I've proven I can hang at the top of the mountain. Yet I keep slipping down, yet to reach that pinnacle.
There's the problem with Ethan Carter III, two weeks ago you lashed right into me. Perhaps you put some sense into me, perhaps you didn't. I mean, why should I care about what you're doing? We all know that Kurt Angle is to blame for what happened. We all know that he could have let go of my ankle and broken the pin, he didn't. He didn't capitalize and the referee didn't even notice that my hand was under the ropes! He's lucky I didn't even tap to him, mind you... I didn't lose. I wasn't pinned or made to submit in the end. I didn't have time to capitalize and finish the job; that's the downfall. Yet a brand new year, Kevin Steen is still walking around with that strap like he's Conor McGregor or some kind of prick... Fact is, I'm not going to give up, I'm going to get the job done one way or another. But sending me to the bottom of the pack proves costly... Soon, there will be nobody around. Soon... you'll be entering the Danger Zone. Yeah, yeah... I get I've said all this bullshit before, but here's the thing... sometimes good things come to an end.
Kevin Kelly: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome...The Rrrr-
The Rock: Hermie....KNOW YOUR DAMN ROLE AND SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH! You can't even introduce The Rock the right way, can you? Let The Rock show you how to introduce The Rock.
The Rock: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, The Brahma Bull, The Great One, The Rock!
Think you can handle that, Hermie?
Kevin Kelly raises the microphone to his mouth to answer.
The Rock: IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT OR NOT! What does matter is that The Rock is about to go out to the ring and lay the smackdown, Samoan style on his two cousins The Usos. After The Rock is done whoopin some Samoan candy ass he is going to march right back to Ethan Carter III's office and wait for him to tell The Rock he is an entrant in the Royal Rumble. Then, in just a few weeks, The Rock will go on to the Royal Rumble and lay the smackdown on about 30 candy asses and throw them all over that top rope to then become the number one contender.
You see, even though The Rock might not have won the chance to be number one contender for the Intercontinental championship, The Rock still has a chance for an even better opportunity. The chance to become the true People's Champion one more time.
The Rock shouldn't have to prove that he's still got it, but by god if he has to, The Rock is certainly more than willing to show everyone exactly why he is and always will be The Great One. That's why tonight, The Rock is going to do exactly that. He is going to show exactly how ruthless he can be, even if it is family standing in his way. Now can you smell what The Rock is cookin?
IF YA SMELLLLLLL
WHAT THE ROCK
IS COOKIN'
The roof blows off of the building as the most electrifying theme in sports entertainment plays on. The Rock steps out onto the entrance ramp looking very disgruntled sporting the People's Eyebrow over top of his very expensive sunglasses.
Tony Chimel:The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Hollywood California, weighing in at 260 pounds, The Rock!
The Rock makes his way down the ramp and slides into the ring. He goes over to the corner and lifts his fist up as the crowd explodes into cheers. He then gets down and waits for his cousins to make their appearance.
The ever-popular duo emerge from the back to a large pop and perform their signature war dance on the stage, which only gets the fans more hyped for the contest. As their music begins, the Usos high-five and then head down the ramp, clapping hands with eager fans the entire way down. Jimmy seems pumped for the contest and eagerly heads to the ring.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Jey Uso, from San Francisco California, weighing in at 251 pounds, Jimmy Uso!
Jimmy enters the ring and doesn't back down from his successful cousin. He actually sizes him up as the ref starts the match.
DING DING DING
Jimmy walks up to The Rock and extends his hand, looking for thing to stay civil between the family. The Rock looks down at his hand and then back at him. He walks over and shakes his hand and the crowd starts to cheer. Jimmy goes to turn away but The rock holds onto his hand and pulls him back in. The two have a stare off but it's Jimmy who stirke first, kicking Rocky in the gut and laying into him with punches. He backs The rock into the ropes and shoots him off but The Rock reverses and sending Jimmy instead. Jimmy hits the ropes and comes back with a jumping shoulder block to take down The Rock. Rocky pops back up and gets taken down with another. The Rock gets up again but now Jimmy is able to send him into the corner. Jimmy then runs at him full speed, connecting with a stinger splash into the corner.
Tom Phillips: Jimmy Uso surprisingly getting the better of The Rock in this early going Corey.
Corey Graves: I don't care, I hate this whole dumb family, the quicker this goes the better.
The Rock falls to a seated position after the stinger splash in the corner as Jimmy backs into the opposite corner. He's getting hyped up for the running hip attack but The Rock rolls out of the ring. The Rock goes up to Jey and starts talking to him and so Jimmy heads outside to see what's up. Jimmy waits for The Rock to turn and see him before throwing the superkick but The Rock moves out of the way and Jimmy hits his own brother in the face! Jimmy looks shocked but turns around into a samoan drop on the floor! Not wanting to waste any time, The Great One throws Jimmy back into the ring and goes for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Jimmy kicks out!The Rock just shakes his head and tells Jimmy to stay down. He brings Jimmy back up to his feet and gets him in position for the Rock Bottom. Jimmy starts to fight it off however, shoving him away. The Rock comes back into a big uppercut from Jimmy that knocks him for a loop, The Rock stumbling back into the ropes. Jimmy then runs at him and clotheslines him over the ropes. From there, Jimmy starts to clap and the crowd goes along with him, building up some hype as Jimmy hits the ropes and dives to the outside with a plancha, landing right on top of The Rock!
Tom Phillips: Uso Crazy!
Corey Graves: Tom, if you ever say that again, I'm going to murder you.
Now Jimmy is the one to quickly pick up The Rock and toss him back into the ring. The People's Champion crawls over to the corner and turns to see where Jimmy is but as soon as he turns around, Jimmy hits him with a stinger splash in the corner, The Rock falling to a seated position once more. Jimmy is feeling it and is ready to put the match away. He walks to the opposite corner and yells out to the crowd.
Jimmy: OOOHH!
Crowd: Sos!
Jimmy: OOOHH!
Crowd: Sos!
Jimmy: OOOHH!
Crowd: Sos!
Jimmy charges forward and hits his cousin right in the face with the running hip attack! Jimmy then pulls The Rock out of the corner and goes for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
The Rock kicks out at 2! Jimmy isn't deterred however, he simply goes right up top and gets ready to finish things off. The Rock knows his cousin well though and so he rolls to the apron Jimmy looks disappointed but drops down and goes over to the apron. Jimmy leans over the ropes and picks up The Rock but the Great One fends him off with a forearm shot to the face. Jimmy backs away allowing The Rock to enter who runs over with a swinging neckbreaker to Jimmy.
Jimmy grabs at his neck as he rolls out of the ring. Jey walks over to check on him as The Rock just stares at them from the outside. The ref starts a 10 count but The Rock doesn't wait until 2, he instead heads to the outside where clotheslines Jimmy from behind. He picks up Jimmy and tosses back into the ring, staring down with Jey first, almost daring him to make a move. The Rock just smiles and heads on in but he doesn't realize that Jimmy is now up and takes his head off with a superkick! Jimmy heads straight for the corner where he climbs up top in quick fashion. The Rock is still down as Jimmy leaps off with the Samoan Splash landing right on top of The Rock, hooking the leg for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
3 . . .
But The Rock kicks out at the last second! Both Jimmy and Jey are shocked, the latter with his hands on his head in disbelief. Jey shouts some instructions from the outside, telling him to try it again. Jimmy takes his advice and gets up, heading the corner and starting to climb once more. The Rock is still in the same place, not moving an inch as Jimmy leaps off once again for the Samoan Splash! The Rock however manages to get his knees up this time and Jimmy lands straight on them! The Rock then rolls Jimmy over into an inside cradle.
1 . . .
2 . . .
But Jimmy kicks out!
Corey Graves: You know what, the more I think about it, I kind of like this match. I just get to see two people I hate beat each other up.
Tom Phillips: Well it certainly has been a back and forth contest thus far. The Rock can't seem to find a way to keep Jimmy down.
The Rock is starting to look frustrated, thinking he should have put Jimmy away a long time ago. He gets up and brings Jimmy along with him, but Jimmy throws some shots to the midsection to create some separation followed by a back kick to the gut that knocks The Rock over to his knees. Jimmy runs forward to the ropes and comes back but gets lifted right into a Spinebuster! The crowd is on their feet, knowing what's coming next. The Rock stands over him and slowly takes off his right elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd, fans immediately fighting over it. He hits the ropes twice before coming back and dropping the People's elbow! Jimmy sits up, grabbing at his chest, trying to get up but The Rock is right behind him with his hands on his leg,s waiting for him to turn around. Jimmy finally does and The Rock grabs him, lifting him up and planting him with the Rock Bottom! The Great One falls on top of him for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
3 . . .
Tony Chimel:Here is your winner, The Rock!
The Rock goes to the top turnbuckle and raises his fist in the air to the adoration of the crowd. Jey comes in to check on Jimmy and help him to his feet. The Rock gets down and looks at both his cousins. They stare at one another until The Rock goes in and gives them each a respectful hug before leaving the ring. He claps for them in the ring before heading to the back as the live feed goes elsewhere.
The action of NXT transitions to a pre-taped backstage segment, where we fade into Owen Hart standing alone holding his Hardcore title in his hand. As it fades in, Owen's face is alight with a smile as he turns to the camera to speak.
Owen Hart
This....this right here is the pay off for months of hard work. In my return to this company, I fizzled. I thought my natural skills would take me to the top, but something was missing. Something was...off. I didn't know what it was until Steve Blackman introduced my head to the ringside area with force. It was in that moment that I knew what I was missing.
Owen takes a glance at the title in his hand before returning his gaze to the camera in front of him.
Owen Hart
Not a purpose, I had plenty of that coming in and I still have that same drive, that same desire as day one. Not an accomplishment to lord over everyone to make myself sound better than them, I can prove that in the ring. No, what I was missing was a new way of thinking. And Steve Blackman, the former Hardcore Champion, gave me that. What he and everyone else saw as an injury was a blessing in disguise for me. It helped me to reach deep down and pull out parts of myself everyone else wants to see locked away. My accident already removed my fear of death, but just because I do not fear any weapon that may be used against me does not mean I am willing to pick up anything at my disposal and do what I need to do to succeed. But now...
Owen winces in pain as he covers his right eye. The same grin as always spreads across his face, widest under his covered eye as he speaks in pained bursts.
Owen Hart
There......are.......no.......limits....
After the last word, Owen takes a deep breath and uncovers his eye, the smile fading and his voice no longer pained.
Owen Hart
...to what I will do. You all may look down on me and my title simply because it is not a World title, but to me, this IS my world now. This is a world where there are no rules, no limitations, no mercy. But up until now, this world has been contained within itself. But not anymore. What I hold here is a.... license to kill so to speak. Barbarism is par for the course for the holder of this title. And now, this barbarism will make its way to YOUR World. All the way to the top and the main who rules over the World you all hold in this highest esteem.
And that path starts tonight, against CM Punk. The man who has tried and tried and tried and tried to make it to the top numerous times in the UWF, only to fail and fail and fail and fail. He's been so close to the top for so long, he looks down on me and what I hold and claims not to care about me. Well that's fine, because after tonight, the only thing he'll have to care about is his own well-being and making a full recovery. My path to the top starts tonight and this right here...
Owen holds the Hardcore title so that it fills the entire frame before he rips it away to show his face. Though now the look of composure is replaced by a sinister grin and wild eyes. Both of which are open, but Owen's voice is now darker and filled with malice as he closes his thoughts.
Owen Hart
...means it's open season.
With those final words Owen turns and walks away, his laughter filling the arena as the scene fades away and NXT rolls on.
WELL ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE
As Owen theme begins, the crowd turns their attention to the entrance ramp. The crowd is all boos now after the results of Takeover and it isn't too long that the object of the fan's dislike ambles onto the stage, the fruits of his labor on his shoulder: The Hardcore Championship. The grin on Owen's face can be seen from the nosebleed sections as he makes his way towards the ring.
Tony Chimel:The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Calgary Alberta Canada, weighing in at 229 pounds, he is the NEW Hardcore Champion, Owen Hart!
Owen gets into the ring and raises the title up high as the crowd boos him. He just smirks and places it back on his shoulder, waiting for Punk to come on out.
A complete new theme song begins blasting out throughout the PA System, it's none other than Memphis May Fire - Carry On. The crowd soon erupts into boos as the text CM PUNK can be read from the titantron as his 'tron begins playing. CM Punk then emerges from behind the curtain with a smirk, the deafening boos are absolutely loud that CM Punk is covering his ears.
Tony Chimel:And his opponent, from Chicago Illinois, weighing in at 223 pounds, CM Punk!
Punk marches his way down to the ring as he hops up onto the steel steps and takes one look at the crowd before entering the ring. He gives Owen a look before shaking his head and turning away. The referee then walks to the middle for the ring and calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
Punk rests up against the corner, not moving. Owen tells Punk to come on but Punk looks like he doesn't even want to be bothered. Owen runs over and Punk gets his feet up to kick him back. Punk then runs out of the corner but Hart catches him with an exploder suplex! Punk ends up sitting up and Owen kneels besides him, trapping his arm and going to town with punches to the side of the face. The ref tells him to open up his fists but Owen doesn't listen, instead looking to dish out as much punishment as possible. The ref counts to 4 until Owen finally backs away as Punk crawls over to the ropes.
Tom Phillips: The violent side of Owen Hart coming out early tonight.
Corey Graves: There's a reason he won the Hardcore Championship Phillips, holding back isn't in his repertoire.
Punk lays over the ropes but Owen comes over and puts his leg over him, choking him out on the ropes as the ref once again counts to 5. Owen gets off and brings Punk up with him while arguing with the ref until Punk hits him with a Mongolian chop followed by a spinning back kick to the gut. Punk grabs both arms in a double underhook but Owen rotates out of it, keeping a hold of the arm to bring Punk in for a clothesline. Punk dodges it and steps up with a leg lariat to take Hart down. Owen immediately gets back up but Punk irish whips him into the corner only for Owen to reverse and send him instead. Owen follows him clothesline, hitting Punk with a clothesline almost as soon as he hits the corner, Punk falling to a seated position.
Owen goes down to grab Punk's feet and pull him up but Punk holds onto the ropes to perform the Jackie Chan and land on his feet, jumping up to deliver a enziguri to the back of Owen's head. Now Owen stumbles around the ring until Punk runs over with a swinging neckbreaker! Owen is near the ropes so Punk jumps to the apron and then jumps back in with a slingshot somersualt senton on top of Hart. He then hooks the leg for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
Hart kicks out! Punk decides to give Owen a taste of his own medicine, kneeling besides him and trapping his arm, throwing down elbow strikes to the chest of Hart until the ref reaches a 4 count. Punk brings him right up and attempts to put him on his shoulder but Owen wiggles out of it, falling behind him. Punk turns around and throws a punch but Owen ducks under it and grabs Punk by the waist, flipping him over for the northern lights suplex with a bridge for the cover.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Punk kicks out!
Corey Graves: Owen Hart may be a bit of a violent psychopath but let's not forget he is also an incredible technician.
Tom Phillips: He's kind of the perfect package to be Hardcore Champion when you think about it Graves. He can wear you down with his skills and use weapons to further gain an edge.
Corey Graves: It's going to be hard to stop him now, especially since he's full of confidence now. Some Punk may lack.
Punk rolls out of the ring and rests on the outside. Hart gets up and yells out "Come on Mr. Best in the World!". Punk looks at Owen and then shakes his head. He walks around the ring and looks to walk out on yet another match but Owen is having none of it. He exits the ring and runs after Punk but the Second City Saint baited him in and kicks him in the gut. He grabs his arm and wrenches it behind his back, sweeping his leg for an arm trap DDT on the floor! Punk isn't nearly done though. He grabs Owen's arm and drags him over to the steel steps. He pushes it a bit away from the ring post to stick Owen's arm in the middle of them. He then backs up and goes to kick it but Owen takes his arm out just in time!
Punk walks up to Owen but Hart kicks him in the knee to drop him down. Owen crawls under the ring but Punk chases him under. The ref heads to the outside to try and gain control of the match but both Punk and Owen are nowhere to be seen. The ref doesn't know what to do he just enters the ring and starts to count them both out. The crowd isn't sure what to make of what's going on until the ref reaches a count of 6 and CM Punk comes crawling out of the ring with blood pouring down his face.
Tom Phillips: CM Punk is busted open! What happened down there!?
Corey Graves: I don't think we want to find out but here comes Owen
Owen Hart comes out of an adjacent side of the ring with blood on his hands. He walks over to where CM Punk is getting up and brings him up to his feet, throwing him head first into the steel ring post, his blood leaving a visible mark of the impact. Owen has a sick smile on his face as he walks over to Punk and tosses him back into the ring. He slides in after him and the ref drops down to count the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
But Punk kicks out! Anger seeps over Owen's face but a slight twitch in the head turns his emotion to glee. He grabs Punk's legs and steps through, turning him over for a Sharpshooter! Punk reaches out for the ropes but blood is pouring down his face and you can visibly see him getting weaker. Punk's arms fall but his hands are still trying to grasp at the ropes even though he's not near them. The ref right away calls for the bell and tells Owen to let up.
Tony Chimel:Here is your winner, Owen Hart!
Tom Phillips: Once again, CM Punk refuses to tap out.
Corey Graves: He may not want to but maybe is body is trying to tell him something.
Owen gets handed his title and he raises it high, standing tall over the bloody carnage as the scene fades out.
Fading in from the black, we're taken backstage once again, where we see both members of TM-61, Nick Miller, Shane throne; pacing about backstage. After their loss at Takeover, there's no doubt that The Joker and The Thief will want to speak their thoughts. Likewise, Miller takes point--
Nick Miller: "Where do we begin? How does TM-61 comeback from this absolutely, --devastating--, loss, against The Wyatt Family? We've touted that we, Nick Miller, and Shane Thorne, were the very, absolute best there was. We've tooted our horns. We've placed our eggs all in one basket. Now, ladies and gentlemen the question still remains; what's left? What can TM-61 do? Just what can Shane Thorne, and Nick Miller, do to coop with this loss?"
Shane Thorne: "But, that's just it. That, was just a trick question. But, there's no tricks when I say we've already cooped with our loss. We've already gathered our bearings. We've picked up the scraps. At NXT Takeover, we were beaten. There's no running from the truth. We were pinned, and worst of all, TM-61 was simply humiliated. But, while we were beaten, TM-61, sure as hell wasn't broken. As of now, TM-61, is stronger than ever. Friedrich Nietzsche once said our enemies bring out the best in us. Ladies and Gentlemen, TM-61, is just getting started."
Nick Miller: "There's no such thing as a happy ending. There's no such thing as an easy living. We've been saying it for weeks, and this isn't anything new. But, this is a new kind of TM-61. When we change our game, we change how this sport is played -- you see? Right now, that's exactly what we're doing. TM-61, isn't down and out. TM-61, are still here, fighting. Waiting, for that one shred of an opportunity. When that time comes, TM-61 are going to be the victors. NXT Takeover? This time, TM-61 are going to be the ones taking over."
Shane Thorne: "Erik Rowan, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson, Crazzy Steve, or Bubba Ray Dudley -- no matter what your name is, and as long as you remain in this division, none of you are safe from the factual anomaly of TM-61. As long as you're here, you're simply the enemy, while we've got shoot-to-kill orders like this was a battlefield. But, once we've taken those belts from The Wyatt Family, we'll make this place look like a battlefield was a green meadow was full of flowers. We will not stop. TM-61 will not compromise. That's something you can all believe in and rest assured, you can believe in TM-61."
The scene fades to black.
A new theme plays over the arena soundsystem, silencing the buzz of the crowd as they wait to see to whom it belongs. Not long after, the UWF's resident Show Off emerges from behind the curtain and trots out to the top of the stage before turning his back on the audience to perform his signature taunt.
Tom Phillips: And here he is, ladies and gentlemen, the former UWF Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.
Corey Graves: The last time we saw Dolph he was being beaten down by CM Punk. That was almost a month ago, just days after Christmas.
Ziggler seems fit as a fiddle as he heads down the ramp, shouting at the front rows of the crowd who seem content to shower him in heat. He practically struts to the ring steps, jogs up them, walks along the ringside and then sits on the middle rope, looking mildly annoyed.
Ziggler motions for a microphone and is handed one before he enters the ring. After strolling to the middle of the squared circle, he lifts the mic and addresses the crowd.
DOLPH ZIGGLER
Ladies and gentlemen, the most talented man on the UWF NXT roster: DOLPH ZIGGLER!
Ziggy's confidence rankles the fans, who boo some more. He gives them a moment and then continues.
You might be wondering why I'm out here, and if you are, congratulations! You're an idiot. See, I was invited to address everything that has happened over the past few weeks in a backstage segment but that's just not my style. Especially not when, frankly, what's been happening here has been nothing short of complete and utter bullshit.
Ziggler is getting fired up as he speaks, and he saunters over to the side of the ring, resting a foot on the bottom rope before he continues.
A few weeks back Ethan Carter III couldn't decide who should fight Kevin Steen for his championship again when the answer should have been obvious from the word go: Me. Steen only survived the two-of-three falls match because I disqualified myself by using a steel chair. He didn't win it, I lost it. By rights, I should get another shot to kick his ass, but since Carter wanted to play hard to get I had no problem coming out and reminding him and all the rest of you uneducated idiots just who I am, just what I've done on this brand and exactly what I'm capable of doing. To his credit, the boss man bowed to reason and booked me in a match... with two other losers who didn't deserve the shot, as they proved when they lost to Kevin at Takeover.
There's some heat for the slam on the Olympic Hero and some cheering for the bashing of Roode, but it's clear that Ziggy's not done so the fans are somewhat restrained in their reaction. He leans forward on the ropes, getting comfortable as he continues.
But then, I go backstage and get stopped by Renee Young and who should capitalize on everything but that bottom-feeding bootlicker CM Punk? I mean, I've already beaten the guy two of the last three times we clashed. Steen's beaten him a million times. He's proven in the last three months that he's got nothing left to give, he's not a winner, and he never will be. Punk's irrelevant. But because he couldn't earn a spot in the title match at TakeOver legitimately, he attacked me from behind with a pipe and Carter, in all of his infinite wisdom, decided that should qualify him for yet another shot at the belt. I'd expect such a wanton lack of sportsmanship from Punk, but that kind of stupidity from the man who runs this brand is borderline inexcusable. It's like booking a freshly returning guy for a title shot, it's just blatantly stupid -- it rewards bad behavior. And as Punk did yet again, he showed the world that if he's not sucker-punching his opponents with a weapon, he doesn't have what it takes to pull out victories when they matter.
Ziggler lowers the mic and shakes his head as the fans offer him a mixed reaction. He seems annoyed as he smirks, then continues.
But that's spilled milk. Punk showed how cheapshotters never prosper, Roode proved he was a flash in the pan, Angle choked and Kevin Steen has eclipsed Rey Mysterio as the longest-running world champion in the history of this company. So now, Ethan's right back where he was a month ago. Only this time, he has a better way to decide who gets to fight his International Champion next, and that's the Royal Rumble. You all might be familiar with that little event. You all know exactly how well I did in it last year. And now, I'm going to let you all in on a little secret: This year, not only am I in the Rumble...
Ziggler pauses as the fans buzz about one of the most anticipated contests of the year. He exhales slowly, allowing the drama to simmer for a moment.
...but I'm going to win it.
Tom Phillips: A ballsy proclamation from Dolph Ziggler here tonight, Corey!
Corey Graves: You say it's ballsy, but the guy has the talent to back it up. Ziggler has consistently been one of the top performers on NXT and I don't know if you've taken a look at the other show lately, but no matter how many times they change the name and how many different ways they try to freshen things up, they certainly haven't done anything to deepen their talent pool Tom.
As the announcers banter, Ziggy tosses the mic over his shoulder and leaves the ring, his new music kicking back up while he trots to the back. Once he has made his exit, the feed heads elsewhere.
The feed goes dark, and comes back with an image that instantly gets a negative response from the audience. The image shows the new number 1 contender to the Intercontinental championship, Baron Corbin. His voice starts to fill the arena.
Baron Corbin
Takeover Brooklyn was a night to be remembered. I said that I was going out hunting and hunt I did. I told you that I would bring the End of Days to Goldberg... to The Rock... and to Nakamura. And I did just that to make my impact felt here in the UWF. If you didn't believe me before, well now you have no choice. With that victory, I secured a match for the Intercontinental Championship. While I was beating three men at once, my future opponent was trying to do the same. But unlike him, I actually won my fatal four way match. Of course.. I'm talking about Bobby Roode.
The crowds reaction is mixed, leaning more towards cheers.
Takeover was a great night for me but a terrible, terrible one for you Bobby. Not only did you fail to win your fatal four way, you were the one to get pinned. Showing that you don't belong in the main event scene here in the UWF... and that you don't belong as Intercontinental champion. And to make matters worse for you, I won my fatal four way, and I earned the right to face you for your Intercontinental championship. Talk about a bad night.
Baron turns to face the camera.
Do you know what will be truly "glorious", Bobby? What will be glorious is when I take that Intercontinental championship away from you and send you to the bottom of the card with the rest of the scrubs. I have to hand it to you though, Bobby. Through all the flashy coats, and the over the top ring music, you really got people to buy into this notion that you're something special. You're just like everyone else I've beaten down. Goldberg, Nakamura, The Rock, all of you are the same. All of you buy into your own hype and you hide behind this facade that you're something great, something larger than life when really you're just B+ players trying to be an "A".
Corbin steps in and gets close to the camera frame.
Enjoy your last fleeting moments as champion Bobby. I don't know when we will meet, but I do know the outcome. Your End of Days... will be Glorious.
The feed fades to black.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first
Tony Chimel: Introducing first, from Toronto Ontario Canada, he is the current UWF Intercontinental Champion, Bobby Roode.
Tom Phillips: And here he comes, the UWF Intercontinental Champion, who at Takeover Brooklyn came very close to becoming a dual champion as he was nearly the man to end Kevin Steens record breaking title reign.
Graves: Going in, no one thought much of Bobby Roode or that he even deserved that match. Bobby Roode may have eaten the pinfall but he proved he belonged. He proved it will only a matter of time till he gets back there. In the meantime he has the Intercontinental Title to fall back on, and that is nothing to scoff at.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, from Atlanta Georgia, Bill Goldberg!
Phillips: And here comes a former World Champion, a legend in the UWF Bill Goldberg who also found himself on the short end of a fatal fourway. Namely for the right to earn a shot at Bobby Roodes Intercontinental Championship.
Graves: He failed at Takeover as that distinction went to Baron Corbin. But tonight should Goldberg manage to defeat Bobby Roode here one on one, hed be next in line for a shot!
Ding Ding Ding
The bell rings and the Intercontinental Champion and Da Man circle each other inside the squared circle. Goldberg calls for a tie up and Roode looks as if he is going to answer it but as Goldberg lunges the Intercontinental Champion sidesteps it and the Da Man turns only to be nailed with a closed fisted jab from the Champ. Goldberg could shake it off but Roode isnt going to let him as he nails him with a big right and a second one before sending Goldberg off of the ropes. Goldberg hits the ropes and comes right back only to catch the Intercontinental Champion off guard with a hard shoulder block. The impact is so fierce Roode doesnt move at first and when he does come too, Da Man just picks him up and sends him into the ropes. Roode comes back and Goldberg catches him and picks him up over his head into a Gorilla Press. Goldberg holds the move in for a few moments before transferring it into a Gorilla Press Slam! The Intercontinental Champion hits the mat and doesnt move, however his opponent doesnt go for the cover.
Phillips: Goldberg with that unbelievable strength just dropped Roode and the Intercontinental Champion isnt moving.
Graves: Goldberg I guess believes he is just going to bulldoze the Champion here tonight as he isnt even thinking about going for the cover here.
Roode finally comes to but as he gets to his feet Goldberg merely steps forward and drops him with a stiff lariat that knocks Roode right back down to his back. The fans cheer wildly as Goldberg doesnt smile, he just walks around the ring looking like a bull ready to charge. Too the Intercontinental Champions credit he gets up again but Goldberg is on him once again. He throws Roode into the ropes before dominating him again with a shoulder block. Roode is getting his ass handed to him in the early going here, which is why he cleverly rolls out of the ring and escapes the beatdown, for at least the moment. Goldberg quickly follows without Roode realizing it and Goldberg delivers a hard forearm into Roodes back, followed by a forearm which catches Roode in the side of the face. Roode attempts to escape but Goldberg follows, until Roode realizing he cant get away so he waits a gets his hand up into Goldbergs face and rakes his eyes. The crowd boo loudly at the cheap trick but it allows the Intercontinental Champion to get a hard jab into Goldbergs midsection. A second blow to the midsection stuns the big man, allowing Roode to grab him and whip him into the nearest steel ring post. Not so fast however, as Goldberg counters and the Intercontinental Champion goes sailing into the steel ring post instead!
Phillips: My lord, Bill Goldberg is dominating the Intercontinental Champion in the early going. With this showing you have to wonder why he isnt the Number One Contender right now.
Graves: Simple. Pure and simple. He lost the match at Takeover. Had he done that, we would be looking at this match as the title match!
Goldberg picks up Roode and takes him head first into the time keepers table to the delight of the NXT fans. Goldberg picks up Roode and drives his fist into Roodes skull, stunning him just enough so Goldberg can hit the snake eyes on the nearest ring barricade, crushing the Intercontinental Champions upper body. Da Man takes his beaten down opponent and tosses him back into the ring before following himself. Goldberg looks as if he is done playing around now as he again helps Roode up to his feet before slingshotting him off the ropes. Bobby comes back but he is so beaten he cant block the big boot that Da Man drives into his skull! The Intercontinental Champion shows great heart for a heel as he gets up, but being stuck in the ring with someone like Goldberg that can get you killed and it most likely does as Goldberg grabs him and throws him into the Ura Nage judo throw. The fans pop as Goldberg goes for the cover.

Bobby Roode kicks out!
Phillips: The Intercontinental Champion proving again tonight he is one tough SOB as he manages to get a shoulder up.
Graves: Goldberg has alot more to gain from a victory tonight then Bobby does. But that doesnt mean you can count out the Champ. He came within seconds at Takeover of becoming the first dual champion in NXT history!
Goldberg is all business as he picks up Bobby looking to continue his domination and get the victory which he believes will get him a shot at that title. He hesitates as he tries to figure out what to do next and that split second is all Bobby needs to get back into it as he reaches out and again rakes the eyes of Goldberg. Goldberg screams in annoyance more than pain as he cant see, only for the Glorious One to hit him from behind with a chop block. Goldberg hits the mat hard and Roode is on top of him, grabbing the same leg and bringing down an elbow on it not once but twice. The knee of Goldberg is clearly being targeted by the Intercontinental Champion as he pulls him towards the corner and exits the ring. Roode then grabs his opponent on the outside and spreads his legs before taking Goldbergs knee and slamming it up against the ring post, not once but twice. Goldberg will be lucky to walk now as he finally manages to roll away but his knee does not look good after the quick and efficient assault by the IC Champion.
Phillips: And within the span of two minutes, thanks to a rake of the eyes and now Roode is on Goldbergs leg like a shark to blood.
Graves: Roode figured he would have to weather the storm with Goldberg, after all he is a legend in this business. But Roode wants to build his own legend and a victory over Da Man would be a great accomplishment towards achieving that goal.
Bobby Roode slides back in and heads over to his opponent who is still rolling on the mat and begins stomping on the knee of Goldberg. Goldberg cant defend himself but thankfully he is able to grab the bottom rope and stop Roode from his barrage. Bobby does as hes told feeling he is in good control. Goldberg gets to his feet in the corner and Roode unleashes with hard kicks to the knee of Goldberg. The fans are booing loudly but Roodes strategy is definitely sound. After pounding away on Goldberg for a bit, the Intercontinental Champion takes his opponent and slings him off the ropes. Roode goes down early and Goldberg lashes out with a hard kick to Roodes chest. Goldberg hits the ropes looking to get back the advantage only to be caught by Roode who picks him up and slams him down to the mat with a spinning spinebuster. The crowd really give Roode heat as he goes for the cover.

No! Goldberg gets the shoulder up!
Goldberg rolls onto his stomach and Roode gets right back up and goes right back at Goldbergs weakness, picking up his leg and slamming it down into the mat so his knee is the focal point of the impact. The crowd boo as Roode throws out his arms all grit and determination now as he feels he is in complete control.
Graves: This is the man right here that could have and probably should have been the man to dethrone Kevin Steen at Takeover. How many people can you name who have manhandled Goldberg quite like this.
Phillips: If I were Roode I wouldnt count my chickens before they hatch as Goldberg has been known to scramble some eggs back in his day and even as recently as former UWF Hardcore Champion Steve Blackman.
Bobby now waits for Goldberg to get up, something that may not be the wisest idea, but he does anyway. The crowd attempt their best to get Bill Goldberg to his feet but Roode has everything well in command as he kicks Goldberg right in the knee again. Goldberg falls to a knee and Roode uses this to his advantage grabbing Goldberg and spinning him so that he can connect with the Hangmans neckbreaker known as the Roode Awakening! The fans boo as Bobby on his knees throws out his arms saying Goldberg is finished. He may be right as he goes for the cover.

NO! Goldberg gets the shoulder up. Roode sits up unable to believe it as the crowd goes wild.
Phillps: Apparently it was Bobby Roode who was in for the rude awakening there as I dont think he expected Bill Goldberg to be able to kick out there.
Graves: In fairness I didnt either Tom. All I know for sure is that tonight, both these men are showing what it takes to be true competitors here on NXT.
Roode pulls Goldberg up to his feet and hammers him with a big right hand, followed by a second, and lastly a third. Each blow driving Goldberg to the ropes where he is now hanging. Bobby grabs Goldberg and picks him up as best he can, he gets just enough strength to be able to drop Goldberg chest first onto the top rope. The fans boo loudly as Goldberg hits the mat agan and Bobby follows him to his feet. The Intercontinental isnt going to allow Goldberg to breathe for a second in this match as he sends Goldberg off the ropes again. This time however Goldberg comes to life, surprising Bobby with a counter that sends the Glorious One into the ropes. Roode comes towards Goldberg who lashes out and connects on the unsuspecting IC Champion with a superkick.
Phillips: Shades of the move that ended the legendary career of Bret Hart, and hopefully the Intercontinental Champion isnt going to have the same fate.
Graves: Goldberg took off Bobbys head there, but I have to wonder does Goldberg have enough on his plate in order to end this match here and now.
As if to answer Graves challenge Goldberg heads to the corner of the ring where he stands for a moment before hunching over. The crowd let off one of the biggest pops of the night as Goldberg is waiting for Bobby Roode to get to his feet so he can be speared. Goldberg is itching to pounce when
IF YOU SMELL!
Phillps: Youve got to be kidding me, that is the music of the Peoples Champion the Rock.
Graves: The Rock successfully defeated his cousin Jimmy to absolutely no surprise, but he was scheduled to be done for the night!
The Rock comes out onto the stage to a great reaction from the crowd and immediately begins staring down Bill Goldberg. Goldberg nearly laughs telling the Brahma Bull to get himself some. The Rock starts making a beeline towards the ring but stops just short of the ring. The official and Goldberg both have their eyes on the Brahma Bull, not noticing that Bobby Roode has come too, with the official not paying a bit of attention, Roode lashes out and connects with a low blow on Da Man. The crowd boo loudly as Goldberg falls to his knees in serious agony. Roode isnt done there, oh no. He grabs his opponent and the Intercontinental Champion plants Goldberg into the mat with the Glorious DDT! The fans boo loudly as the Champ goes for the cover.

HERE IS YOUR WINNER OF THE MATCH: THE UWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION BOBBY ROODE!
Phillips: The distraction of the Rock just allowed the Intercontinental Champion to hit a low blow, follow that up with a DDT and there is no way Goldberg could have possibly won this match!
The Rock has started to make his way up the ramp now, stopping at the top of the stage to look back at a laid out Goldberg and smiling. The Rock almost turns his nose towards Da man before pointing to Roode and motioning for that Championship to go around his waist. Roode isnt even paying attention to the Rock as he is celebrating with his championship in the ring.
Graves: Remember back at Takeover, it was Goldberg spearing the Rock through the barricade which cost both men the shot at the Title. The Rock couldnt allow Goldberg to get a step ahead tonight and beat the Champion, not when it was Goldbergs fault in the first place the Rock isnt challenging for the Gold.
Phillips: That reasoning makes sense Corey, but what doesnt is why the Rock had to get himself involved tonight. Cause for now Bobby Roode will turn his attention towards defending against Baron Corbin, but I doubt, should he be successful, this will be the last he hears of the Rock and Goldberg.
Roode continues to celebrate with the Intercontinental Championship as UWF NXT goes elsewhere.
The scene opens up to Kurt Angle in the locker room area with a camera focused on him. His face showing passionate anger, perhaps from suffering a big loss. A look of determination and sheer resilience lies under the anger look however. He quickly wastes no time in speaking to the UWF Universe and getting his thoughts out to the Universe.
Kurt Angle: Takeover was an excruciating loss for me to endure. A match that I thought that I had all wrapped up in the bag. I held on to CMs ankle and I twisted it, and I turned it as hard as I could. I tweaked and pulled at it at it and torqued it. I bent his ankles in ways that would defy Anatomy and Physiology class.
While I was trying to ruthlessly make CM Punk submit, across the ring Steen was able to take out Bobby and pin him. It was inevitable that CM Punk was going to quit soon, but I was unable to get him to quit before Roode was incapacitated. Maybe Roode was actually the weakest link and I should have went after him myself. Maybe I should have tried to snap Bobby Roodes ankle to make him tap out instead of CM Punk. Hell, maybe I should have just released CMs ankle and broke up the pin. Maybe I should have just gone after Steen myself.
But I cant fascinate myself with a million what if scenarios in a situation that I cant redo. The only thing that I can do is learn from the past, and continue to move forward. Which is exactly what I will do. Kevin, Im not going anywhere. I am going to keep coming at your neck, I want that championship. The only way that I wont get it is if I stop breathing. I dont care about how long it will take me to do it, nor do I care about how much damage I will have to inflict on you to obtain it. I dont fear you, nor will I spare you any sympathy or pity. I dont see you as anyone thats superior to me no matter how much you inflate yourself. But once I defeat you and knock you off the mountain that you sit on in your head, I will cement in your brain that you are in fact beneath me. You have something that I want, and that is the International Championship. Im going to be the one to take that title away from you and I dont give a damn what you have to say or how you feel about that.
I dont care how I get to that point to challenging you again Steen. Whether its me fighting you one-on-one at the Rumble, or hell me even winning the Rumble to get to youjust mark my words my Canadian friend. You havent seen the last of me. Im gunning for you, your neck, your ankles, and that belt. Non-stop, every event, every city, all around the world, Ill looking for the perfect chance and the perfect time for me to rise up. When I challenge you again, no matter how I earn that opportunity, it will be the last time you defend that belt.
NXT then rolls on to the next scene.
As there's a break in the action, things head backstage to where The Wyatt Family are standing by.
Bray Wyatt: Tonight we find ourselves in the presence of overbearing arrogance, but fear not, because the arrogant will soon be humbled by the same reality that humbled TM-61 before them and The Usos before that: the reality that they simply aren't good enough. The reality that they aren't all they make themselves out to be and that regardless of their opinions about us, we will rise and we will continue to reign.
Braun Strowman: You've spent the last week making your jokes, but tonight the time for laughter is over.
Luke Harper: We're going to make an example out of you, Young Bucks.
Erick Rowan: And savor every moment of it.
Bray Wyatt: You were given the chance to give us our due respect but opted against it, and now you will pay the price. See you out there.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the UWF World Tag Team Championships! Introducing first, the challengers: at a combined weight of 348 pounds, Nick and Matt Jackson... the Young Bucks!
The Bucks come from the back amid a ton of heat from the fans, but the former tag champions disregard it as they get hyped up at the top of the ramp. The pair then head down that ramp with a cocksure swagger before sliding into the ring and performing their signature double-flex right in the center of it, drawing further heat before they retire to their corner to await their opponents.
Tony Chimel: And introducing their opponents, the UWF Unified World Tag Champions -- at a combined weight of 590 pounds, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan... THE WYATT FAMILY!
The Wyatts come from the back, all nearly 600 pounds of them, with the tag titles displayed on their shoulders. The pair pause at the top of the ramp, Harper tugging on his beard while Rowan runs a hand over his bald head, then they lumber down the ramp as the fans also shower them in some contempt. They reach the foot of the ramp and circle the ring, handing their titles over to the timekeeper directly before climbing straight up onto the apron and entering together over the top rope, then lumbering to their corner with little fanfare before the bell rings.
DING DING DING!
The bell rings and it's decided that Nick Jackson and Luke Harper are going to get things started off here in this tag team main event. The pair circle each other in the ring before Nick comes in to tie up with the man who clearly has the size advantage, but as Luke moves to grapple, Nick ducks under and dashes to the far side of the ring. Harper turns around and Nick shouts, "Don't you bathe? You smell worse than that time Kev' ate burritos and forgot the yellow-brown rule in the toilet, man!" From the ring apron, Matt mimes that he's throwing up and Nick points to him. Harper looks over his shoulder to see Matt doing this as even the fans get in on the laughing, then turns back to Nick and snarls, charging full bore and catching the doubled-over former tag champion with a knee straight to the side of the head! Nick flies into the ropes and rebounds back to the apron, but Harper pulls him up to his feet in a doubled-over position and starts pummeling his upper back repeatedly, throwing in an occasional knee to the torso for good measure. This goes on for almost a minute, Nick just eating that punishment before Harper throws him mercilessly into the Bucks' corner and roars for the benefit of the fans, who boo him.
Tom Phillips: It looks like Nick Jackson made a grave error by mocking Luke Harper and now the one half of the tag team champions is displaying pure, physical dominance here in the Main Event, Corey.
Corey Graves: You know when they won the titles I thought these guys might be a flash in the pan, but the more I see of the Wyatts the more I like what they bring to the table. They're not the fastest or flightiest of teams, but what they lack in speed they make up in raw power and durability. The Bucks are in for a rough ride tonight.
Nick gets to his feet leaning in the corner but Harper spies him and charges in, connecting with a full body splash that brings all of his weight to bear on the comparably smaller man before leading him out by the ponytail and throwing him to the canvas. Matt, realizing his brother is in serious shit, shouts something insulting about Sister Abigail and Harper turns on him, looking wide-eyed and crazed. Harper moves in but as he does, Matt thumbs him in the eye and grabs his beard before jumping off the apron, using the tug on Harper's facial hair to bring his neck down on the top rope! Harper stumbles away from the ropes as the fans boo the clear display of dirty tactics and as he does, he stumbles straight into a dropkick from Nick Jackson that sends him careening to the outside! Nick gets back to his feet, but he's clearly hurt from the punishment he has already sustained and is unable to capitalize as he falls back into the ropes, leaning on them. Matt, therefore, steps up and pulls Harper to his feet. Unfortunately for him, Harper is ready and he shoves Matt so hard the Buck stumbles backward and falls on his ass, then Harper surges forward and kicks him square in the face! Matt's body snaps back as his head bounces hard off the floor and he rolls on his side, bracing the back of his skull as Harper heads back up onto the apron.
Corey Graves: And there it is again Tom, that raw power and the ability to endure through some serious punishment has Luke Harper right back on top here. The Bucks are outmatched I think.
Tom Phillips: It's funny, because just a month ago Nick and Matt Jackson were possibly the most dominant tag team on this show. How times have changed!
Harper enters the ring and bounds across it to grab Nick but when he reaches for him, Nick again slips underneath his grasp and dashes to the other side of the ring. Nick looks forlorn out at Matt who is still laid out on the outside, realizing he has nobody to tag, and turns back around to find Harper coming looking for a lariat! Nick dashes under this again and as Harper hits the ropes, Jackson's there to grab him around the waist, using Harper's own backward momentum to pull off an almost unbelievable German suplex! The fans pop just at the display of athleticism but even after executing it, Nick's clearly strained from the effort as he labours to get back to his feet, only to find Harper already back up on one knee. Nick hits the ropes and comes back with a step-up enziguri and this grounds Harper. Jackson covers.

...NO!
Right after the one-count Luke Harper kicks out, practically tossing Nick off of him in the process. The Jackson brother scrambles to get out of range of any immediate retaliation but that proves to be a costly mistake as Harper rolls to his corner and tags in the still-fresh Erick Rowan!
Tom Phillips: And Harper makes the tag!
Corey Graves: Just when Nick Jackson might have thought he was getting somewhere, Luke Harper tags out and now he has a completely fresh behemoth to deal with. This isn't a match, it's a war of attrition Tom, and the Jacksons are losing.
Rowan enters with some speed and it's clear he's hungry to lay a beatdown on the Jacksons as he charges. Nick tries to bail but Erick has it scouted and redirects, driving the Jackson brother into a corner and connecting with a huge shoulder thrust! Nick cries out as Erick pulls back and connects again and again with the maneuver, ten times in total before pulling away to leave Nick slumped in the corner. Erick turns to walk toward the opposite corner but as he does, a recovered Matt Jackson comes off the top rope and lands on his shoulders, then hits a hurricanrana that sends Erick Rowan spilling over the ropes to the outside! Matt gets to his feet and already the official is giving him no end of grief but he brushes the referee off, runs to the ropes opposite the side Rowan was dumped over, rebounds and comes back to hit a suicide plancha over the top on the recovering Wyatt! The fans pop at the flurry of action as both Matt Jackson and Erick Rowan are on the ground, gassed, while Nick remains in the corner and Harper starts to stomp on the apron to motivate his tag partner to get up and do something. Erick responds, but around the same time as Matt, and Jackson's the faster to his feet so he starts unloading stiff kicks to Erick's head. These connect and look to be having an effect before Rowan gets an arm up and catches one, then rushes to his feet and DESTROYS Matt with a HUGE clothesline! The fans "ooh" at the sheer force as Matt actually spins mid-air three times before hitting the floor face-first and Erick slides into the ring just before he's counted out.
Corey Graves: Did you see that, Tom? Those kicks weren't light, Matt Jackson was giving Rowan everything he had and the Wyatt giant still got to his feet and leveled him. This is the sheer, unrelenting brutality the NXT tag division will have to find an answer for if it ever hopes to end the Wyatt reign.
Tom Phillips: And to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure an answer exists, Corey.
Rowan is grinning as he starts to size up Nick Jackson, who has his back turned, leaning in the corner. Nick finally turns out of it and Rowan charges, but the Jackson brother on instinct alone gets a foot up and connects with a superkick that stops Rowan dead in his tracks! Erick stumbles backward but doesn't fall, and Nick, incredulous, lines him up and superkicks him again! This time Rowan falls to the canvas, but before Nick can move a muscle to cover, the fans erupt in a wave of boos as Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman come lumbering from the back!
Tom Phillips: Oh, come on! Not this!
Corey Graves: And when you think you've got the two guys you're fighting down for the count, then the cavalry arrives. It's going to take something akin to a miracle to take the belts away from the Wyatt Family now that they have them, Tom.
A moment after Strowman and Wyatt reach the foot of the ramp, another pair comes surging from the back. This time, the fans respond with a pop as Shane Thorne and Nick Miller attack Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman from behind, grounding Bray before double-teaming Braun and sending him into the steel ring steps! The duo split to pull a man each to their feet, but as they do Braun turns the tides and clubs Miller in the jaw with a forearm before kneeing him in the gut. Nick Jackson watches on as the four start balling up outside and knows he needs to take his shot as he hits the ropes, coming over the top with a suicide plancha that grounds all four men! As he does this, Matt comes around the corner and immediately starts putting the boots to Strowman, knowing that as the largest and most ferocious man he needs to be neutralized first. Nick soon joins him, but the pair ignore the rest of the group at their own peril as Harper comes down from the ring and levels Matt with a discus clothesline! Nick turns around but gets kicked square in the gut and thrown into the ring. Rowan is waiting for him there and pulls him to his feet and throwing him into the ropes as Harper gets into position and the pair execute The Way, dropping Nick hard to the canvas with the flapjack-cutter combination before Rowan rolls over and hooks the leg!

DING DING DING!
Here are your winners,
The UWF Unified World Tag Team Champions:
The Wyatt Family!
Corey Graves: It's in the books -- the Young Bucks may be one of the most successful tag teams of the modern era of professional wrestling, but they were thoroughly dominated here tonight by the Wyatt Family, Tom.
Tom Phillips: Even before the outside involvement, Nick and Matt Jackson were overpowered by these two behemoths. It would have taken an absolutely flawless effort from both of them to overcome such long odds.
Suddenly, the house lights are dimmed and the arena soundsystem begins to play an all-too-familiar theme.
Tom Phillips: As Michael Cole would say, 'Oh boy!'
Corey Graves: I think I just realized who might be able to give the Wyatts a run for their money, at least in the creep factor, Tom!
From the back lumbers Abyss, Steve and Rosemary coming in behind the big man as they all head down the ramp quickly. Harper and Rowan stand their ground in the ring as Decay climb onto the apron and enter it, a momentary standoff occuring right there as the fans buzz, waiting for the inevitable trading of blows. Rowan throws the first punch, connecting with a forearm to Crazzy Steve as Rosemary darts to the side. Meanwhile, Abyss goes on the attack on Harper, driving him into a corner and connecting with some back elbows. It's pure pandemonium and the fans are loving it as they start to chant. Rowan soon gets the edge on Steve, dropping him before turning around and narrowly dodging a spit in the face from Rosemary of the mystery mist, then LEVELS her with a clothesline! Rowan starts to close the gap on Abyss but, as he does, the lights cut out!
Corey Graves: Now what?!?
As the lights come back up a moment later, another figure is in the ring, this one heavily painted like Crazzy Steve but holding a nasty-looking Kendo stick. The man springs to action, cracking Rowan over the back of the head with a nasty shot that staggers him, then connecting with his spine five times, literally beating him down. Harper turns around to see what the commotion is about and catches a kendo stick smash to the face for his efforts, sending him over the top rope and to the outside! The mystery man then tosses the Kendo stick aside and the cameras get their first good look at him as the crowd gasp.
Tom Phillips: Is that...?
Corey Graves: It's the Dead Prez, Tom! It's Steve Blackman! And he seems to have thrown his lot in with Decay here!
Tom Phillips: They said they got the prize they wanted at TakeOver and I think I'm starting to see what they meant! Blackman must have been brainwashed by Decay after they carried him off! I can't believe this!
Corey Graves: I don't even want to speculate about what this could mean for the landscape here on NXT, Tom. Except to say that everything is about to change.
The Dead Prez looks on as Crazzy Steve and Rosemary pull Rowan to his feet, Steve punching him in the back of the head a few times for good measure. They then shove him toward the Dead Prez who, without hesitation, connects with a thunderous bicycle kick that floors Rowan, who rolls out of the ring immediately afterward as the fans offer a huge mixed reaction to everything they're watching unfold. The Dead Prez is then embraced by Rosemary before the pair turn outward, Abyss on one side and Steve on the other as they collectively raise their arms in the classic victory pose and the show comes to its close.
