Pyro goes off all throughout the arena and the camera zooms around, showing numerous fans all showing their support for the return of NXT, We then go ringside where Corey Graves and Tom Phillips are standing by.
Tom Phillips: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to NXT! I'm Tom Phillips and with me is my broadcast partner, former International Champion, Corey Graves.
Corey Graves: We've got a big show tonight as we get to find out what will happen to Dolph Ziggler after interfering in that huge title match at Rebellion.
Tom Phillips: With Wrestlemania right around the corner, you have to wonder what matches will get announced tonight.
Corey Graves: We've got a ton of action tonight including a Hardcore Championship match. Let's get started right away with the first match of the night!
The deranged faction walks out on to the ramp, looking like they just crawled out of the gutter. Abyss leads the way, with a Steve at either shoulder. Of course, Rosemary is also there, smiling like she's up to no good.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is a 6 man tag team match! Introducing first, from Parts Unknown... Abyss, Crazzy Steve and "DEAD PREZ"... Decay!
The trio along with Rosemary walk down to the ring and all enter. They do the same pose they usually do at the top of the stage inside the ring and wait for their prey.
The ever-popular duo emerge from the back to a large pop and perform their signature war dance on the stage, which only gets the fans more hyped for the contest. As their music begins, the Usos high-five and then head down the ramp, clapping hands with eager fans the entire way down.
Tony Chimel: And their opponents, from San Francisco California, weighing in at 479 pounds, Jimmy and Jey, The Usos!
The Usos stop at the bottom of the ramp, Jimmy making sure to show off his Intercontinental Championship as they wait for their cousin.
IF YA SMELLLLLLL. WHAT THE ROCK...IS COOKIN'
The fans leap to their feet and blow the roof off of the arena as they cheer for The People's Champ, The Rock. The Rock steps out onto the stage and tilts up his head, smelling the electricity in the air. He walks to one side of the stage and poses for the crowd and walks to the other to do the same.
Tony Chimel:And their partner, from Hollywood California, weighing in at 260 pounds, The Rock!
He walks down the aisle and climbs one of the turnbuckles hoisting up his fist high over his head as the fans continue to chant "Rocky".
VS
DING DING DING
Steve Blackman runs over and pushes The Rock off the middle rope while he was still posing for the fans! Rocky goes tumbling out of the ring and the Intercontinental Champion takes great exception to that, running over and striking Blackman with a flurry of forearms to the face. The rest of Decay and Jey Uso head out to the apron to leave these former foes to duke it out. They trade shots back and forth but Blackman being the better striker of the two is able to get the better of Jimmy, hitting him with a spinning back kick to the gut. He whips Jimmy to the ropes but Uso comes back with a crossbody! The Dead Prez is able to catch him in mid air however and turn it into a tilt-a-whirl back breaker! Jimmy holds his back in pain but Blackman forces his shoulders down to the mat and makes the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Jimmy kicks out!
Tom Phillips: Steve Blackman almost picks up a quick win there. Corey, what do you think about this rivalry renewed?
Corey Graves: The Dead Prez has become a lot more violent since joining the Decay so it feels like my dream of finally seeing the Usos end up on the disabled list could happen tonight so I'm all for it.
Blackman grabs Jey and brings him over to the corner to tag in Abyss. The Monster comes in and clubs Jimmy with a double axe handle to the back while Blackman holds him in place. He continues to target the back by picking up Jimmy and applying a bear hug! Jimmy is writhing around, trying to get out of it as Abyss tries to squeeze the life out of him. Jey tries to fire the crowd up in a clap to get Jimmy going and it works, the Samoan slowly coming to life and punching Abyss in the face. It doesn't seem to really be working until Jimmy slaps the ears of Abyss to stun him. The second attempt freeing him from the Monster's grasp.
Jimmy goes over to his corner to tag in Jey. Both men go to confront Abyss but the Monster comes at them with a double clothesline. Both brothers duck it and hit Abyss with double superkicks to the back on the knees, forcing Abyss to his knees. They then hit double superkicks to the back of Abyss' head, the Monster falling face first into the mat. Jimmy turns Abyss to face upwards while Jey climbs to the top rope. Once there, Jey leaps off with the Samoan Splash! Landing right on top of Abyss and hooking his leg for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Abyss kicks out at 2! Jey goes over and tags in The Rock who is now on the apron. The People's champ comes over and picks up Abyss but the Monster ends up shoving him away and making the tag to Crazzy Steve. Steve comes in and headbutts The Rock in the gut. With The Rock hunched over, he simply executes a nice powerbomb on the Great One. Rather than follow up, Steve just mimics him and gets on the nerves of the crowd. He slowly waits for The Rock to get up and he does but catches Steve off guard by immediately grabbing him and planting him with a Rock Bottom! The crowd is in a frenzy as The Rock makes the cover.
1 . . .
2 . . .
But Abyss comes in to break the count. He starts to attack The Rock but the Usos come in to fight him off. The end up clotheslining the big man out of the ring. They then bring Crazzy Steve up to his feet and throw him to the ropes before hitting him with a double superkick. unbeknown to them though, Blackman tagged himself in right there. The Usos see Abyss getting up at ringside and toss Crazzy Steve over the ropes and onto Abyss! The Usos then look at each other and shrug before flying over the ropes onto the Decay!
Tom Phillips: Uso Crazy!
Corey Graves: Tom, how many times do I have to tell you to stop saying that dumb line!
The Rock is busy watching the spectacle that is the Usos and turns around right into a Bicyle Kick by Blackman! The Usos don't even realize it outsdie of the ring as the Dead Prez makes the cover.
1 . . .
2 . .
3 . . .
Tony Chimel: Here are your winners, Crazzy Steve, Abyss and Steve Blackman, Decay!
The Usos look on disappointed on the outside while Blackman gets his hand raised. They help The rock exit the ring and head to the back while Crazzy Steve and Abyss enter the ring and pose with Blackman and Rosemary until the scene fades out.
The titantron shows CM Punk who seems to be elsewhere. The crowd awaits, in hope that he would be in attendance tonight but first...
CM Punk:
A roll up. That's all it took for me to lose at Rebellion. Fair play to Owen Hart but if you think for a split second that I was done, you're wrong. You're asking for this, you're asking for the fuel to be ignited, you want that flame Owen. Ever since I stepped foot here in NXT, I've done all I can to destroy myself; so Owen... allow me to ask you one thing. Do you honestly think I've got anything to lose when I've yet to gain and reclaim what I once lost? Where as you... you've got everything to lose, your name-sake, your Championship... everything! You may have gotten lucky but you're not running away from any of this, I'm going to ensure that management doesn't let you escape from this fiasco. We're close from the Grandest Stage of them All, WrestleMania. If you think it's not going to be you and I squaring off, I'll do everything in my damn power to. Do you think I'm afraid of anything? Do you think I care if I get fired? Do you think any of this will stop me Owen? You've completely messed with the wrong person, asking for all this isn't going to be a pretty ending for you. Are you truly willing to destroy everything you've got in your body, you know... seeing that your Championship is "Hardcore"; how much are you prepared to put your body on the line? Do you not realize I want to absolutely destroy and disfigure you? I want the HART Family to no longer recognize you once I'm finished with you. Do you understand Owen? DO YOU?!
CM Punk takes a short breather, but he's not done yet.
Barbed wires, chairs, ladders, tables, fire extinguisher, chains, you name it Owen... I've had it all inflicted on me. Just how "Hardcore" are you really Owen? You asked for all of this, I asked for things at WrestleMania... but you've turned me completely deranged Owen... I'm losing my mind here! Oh, that's you isn't it? I've got a request which you might hear about later on the show. I'm closer than you think I am Owen... So close that I'm going to FUEL the FIRE in you. Everything you've ever done Owen, everything you've ever wanted out of me... it all happens at WrestleMania. It'll be a first time ever match, are you really prepared to put your body on the line? Are you Owen? I can assure you, I'm not giving up at all, I refuse to. This is just the beginning... of your own death.
GOLDBERG
You know this place is starting to piss me off. I can't help but wonder just what in the hell Ethan Carter is thinking when he puts these morons in the ring with me. Night in and night out I go out there and I hurt people. Night in and night out I step in that ring and put the fear of god in the person on the opposite side. You would think by now I would be champion, but no.
Tonight I go up against probably my hardest opponent yet...Kurt Angle. That alone should tell you that this company is making great stretches to find me appropriate competition, since 99% of the roster are a bunch of pussies and can't get out of their own way.
WrestleMania season is here and I have no intention of being left off of the card. If that means I have to go out and mutilate an Olympic gold medalist, then so be it. Truth be told I could care less who it is, Ethan is the one that has to inform the family that their loved one is broken beyond repair. Kurt Angle I give you this one warning...stay home. Use what little brains you have and back off, because you don't want any part of this. I'm on a warpath unlike any other. I'm going to beat the "great" Kurt Angle tonight, and then stroll right into WrestleMania and have my WrestleMania moment, whether you people like it or not.
The unmistakable sound of Goldberg's into hits the speakers inside the arena, forcing the crowd to leap to their feet with a chorus of boos. As da man makes his way to the center of the stage, he takes a good hard look around before being overcome with sparks of pyro. The pyro clears and the beast of a man makes his way to the ring. He stands and waits for Angle as the crowd boos around him.
Kurt Angles theme begins to blare throughout the arena. The fans all get on their feet and being to show their love for the Olympic Hero. Kurt comes out with a serious face with no smiles, he walks out and stops for his signature pyro at the top of the ramp. He continues to make his way on down to the ring and he calmly enters the ring and begins to stare in the face and in the eyes of Bill Goldberg
DING DING DING
The two superstars face off against each other from their respected corners. Angle makes the first move and slowly starts to creep to the center of the ring. Goldberg follows suit and the two slowly circle each other. They stop circling and meet in the middle of the ring where they once again face off, exchanging unheard words. Goldberg pushes Angle back and continues to trash talk. Angle is taken off guard but counters back quick with a powerful headbutt right to Goldberg's head, sending the big man reeling back.
Corey Graves: Pushing an Olympic Medalist is not a smart idea.
Tom Phillips: But at the same time, how smart is headbutting a man like Goldberg.
Goldberg is obviously pissed and comes back at Angle with another push, this one backed by much more power and aggression. Angle falls to his back but quickly rolls out and is back on his feet. Goldberg goes to grab Angle but Angle ducks out, and slips behind Goldberg, locking him at the waist. He lifts him up and slams Goldberg down with a huge German Suplex! The crowd erupts in cheers. Goldberg is taken back and quickly rolls out of the ring.
Tom Phillips: Did you see that?! When was the last time you saw someone manhandle Goldberg so easily?
Corey Graves: Kurt Angle is no joke. This is going to be war, I know that.
Goldberg paces outside the ring, pissed at the fact that Angle got the better of him there. Angle is yelling from inside the ring, begging Goldberg to get back in. Goldberg tells the ref to back Angle up, and he does. Goldberg gets back into the ring and stares a hole into Angle. They both come to center of the ring again. Goldberg goes for a lock up but once again Angle ducks and slips out, this time grabbing Goldberg's leg, tripping him up. Goldberg falls to the mat while Angle catches Goldberg's ankle, locking in the Ankle Lock! The crowd is cheering like crazy as Angle yells "TAP. TAP. TAP"
Tom Phillips: OH MY GOD! The Ankle Lock! Angle has already locked in the Ankle Lock! This one could already be over!
Corey Graves: Goldberg looks seriously out of his league here!
Goldberg yells, in pain or in anger, it is unknown. Goldberg's strength aids him as he quickly pulls his body, and Angle to the ropes for the rope break. Angle breaks the hold and once again Goldberg rolls out of the ring. Clearly pissed off. He beats the barricade and yells. The crowd taunts "Da Man", adding fuel to the fire. Angle holds his arms up in the ring and asks "Is that all ya got!?" Goldberg rushes the ring and slides in, not playing anymore. Goldberg launches himself at Angle looking for a spear but Angle side steps it. Goldberg continues charging down the ring, and hits the ropes and bounces off, he turns back on Angle and hits him with the Spear on the rebound! Angle goes down hard as the crowd gasps.
Tom Phillips: SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR! Goldberg may have just knocked Angle out!
Corey Graves: This is why pissing off and playing with Goldberg is not a good idea! This one is already over, fools.
Goldberg hooks Angle's leg and looks to end the match early.
1....
2....
Angle's Shoulder is Up!
Tom Phillips: There's still fight in Angle but could the damage be done?
Corey Graves: Goldberg is going to pick the bones now.
Goldberg is still visibly angry. He calls for the end. He lifts Angle from the mat and puts him in position for the Jackhammer. The crowd swarms him with boos of disapproval. Goldberg yells "It's Over!" and lifts Angle vertically into the air. Before he can complete the move, Angle shoots his knee down and drives it right into the top of Goldberg's head. This causes Goldberg to drop Angle, who lands on his feet, behind Goldberg. Goldberg is stunned, and Angle capitalizes by hitting him from behind with a chop block, sending Goldberg to the mat.
Corey Graves: Angle is lucky. If Goldberg would have hit that JackHammer, it would have been over. Count to 10.
Tom Phillips: That wasn't luck, that was a veteran move by one of the greatest of all time.
The crowd is back to cheering with Angle in control. Goldberg is quick to get back to his feet but Angle fights him back into the corner and repeatedly hits Goldberg over and over in the head. Anger and fury fill Angle's eyes as the ref has to forceably pull Angle back out of the corner. But Angle is quick to jump right back on Goldberg. This time Angle steps on the second rope for leverage and starts to rain fists down on top of Goldberg's head, but Goldberg pushes Angle off and he tumbles to the mat. Angle is quick to roll to his feet however and once again charges at Goldberg but Goldberg stops him with a huge clothesline.
Corey Graves: He nearly decapitated Angle.
Tom Phillips: That was vicious!
Goldberg grins at Angles body on the mat. He knees down by Angle and cradles his head up and starts to punch him over and over again. Getting revenge for the hits in the corner. Goldberg looks as if he's knocked Angle completely out, and his slams his head back down into the mat. Goldberg laughs now, completely in control. He bends down and lifts Angle's prone body back up to a standing position. He hoists Angle onto his shoulder and looks to be going for a running power slam, but Angle falls back behind Goldberg. Goldberg turns to face Angle and is met with a kick to the gut, followed by a DDT to the mat. Angle now turns him over for the cover.
1 . . .
2 . . .
Goldberg kicks out! Angle gets back to his feet and sizes up Goldberg, waiting for Da Man to get back to his feet. Once he does, Angle slips behind him to go for the Angle Slam! Goldberg is able to fall behind him though and when Angle turns around, he gets hit with a snap powerslam! Now it's Goldberg who's back in the driver's seat so he heads to the corner and crouches down, waiting for Angle to now rise to his feet. Angle eventually does and when he turns around, he gets hit with a second earth shattering Spear! Goldberg stands up and poses like a madman after nearly breaking him in half! More then satisfied with that, he lays on top of Angle and hooks his leg for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
But Angle kicks out! Goldberg is now more furious than ever. He simply mounts Angle and starts to rain down punches on him over and over again. The ref counts to four and Goldberg manages to back off. He paces back and forth in the ring for a bit but then goes right back down to attack Kurt. The ref backs him away again, this time helping Kurt to the corner and asking if he wants to continue. Goldberg doesn't want to wait though, he's here to hurt people. He exits the ring and looks under the apron only to bring out a steel chair! The ref has his back turned and doesn't realize this as he helps Angle to his feet.
Tom Phillips: The referee needs to watch out, Goldberg has a chair in hand!
Corey Graves: This is what happens when you piss off Da Man!
Angle pushes the ref out of the way as Goldberg raises the chair up high but the Olympic Gold Medalist is able to quickly dash forward and take Goldberg's back, hitting him with a german suplex! Angle keeps the hold locked in, looking to go for another german but Goldberg still clenches onto the chair. Angle doesn't realize this and gets caught off guard when Goldberg swings the chair backwards to hit Angle right across the back!
DING DING DING
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner by disqualification, Kurt Angle!
Tom Phillips: Kurt Angle wins but this is the second time in a month he's been attacked by a steel chair!
Corey Graves: At some point you have to wonder, maybe he's the cause of all this.
Tom Phillips: What!?
Goldberg isn't done with just that one hit. He raises the chair and hits Angle again on the back! He then throws the chair down and picks up Kurt's limp body. He tells the crowd it's over before lifting him up in the air and slamming him down on the chair with the Jackhammer! He hooks his leg and pretends to make the 3 count but the ref is waving him off. Goldberg finally lets go and poses as if he won. He exits the ring and heads up the ramp as ringside officials check on angle and doctors can be seen coming from the back to the ring and the live feed goes elsewhere.
As there's a break in the action, things head backstage where Bray Wyatt is seated.
Bray Wyatt: In this hour of recovery, we will not forget those who trespassed against us, nor will we forgive them. In this hour of recovery, we are believed by those who trespassed against us and others who want to to be at our weakest, but that couldn't be further from the truth. In this hour of recovery, we find ourselves backed into a corner, the most dangerous place you can put feral creatures such as ourselves because the only way to go is out of that corner and the only way to get there is by fighting. Soon we will be a kind of battle ready that's never been seen from The Wyatt Family before, and we will cement our legacy on the grandest stage of them all one way or another, regardless of who we have to go through to do it. If the thought of that scares any of you then I have some advice...run.
The camera is taken to an unknown backstage area where the number 1 contender to the Hardcore championship, Baron Corbin, is.
Baron Corbin
They say that respect is earned. Well... do I have your respect yet? Victim after victim has fallen at my feet. Everything I've gotten around here, I've earned. I've taken everything I wanted by brute force. And tonight will be no different. Tonight, I get something else that I've wanted. I finally get gold. Tonight, a dream will be fulfilled and a dream will be crushed. Tonight a King will fall and a new King will be crowned. Tonight will be the night when the Hart of NXT stops beating. You have all witnessed my rise to the top here, and tonight you will witness me finally take my crown, and sit in my throne.
Corbin looks directly into the camera.
Baron Corbin
All Hail... The New King.
The feeds fades with Corbin's cold eyes piercing the camera.
As the guitar riffs of 'Catch Your Breath' hits the P.A System, the fans are on their feet as a wave of white light shines over them revealing none other than the man they've been waiting on to arrive; Finn Balor was here! On the stage Finn is wearing his signature ring gear along with his 'Balor Club' jacket showing that he was in fact ready to do battle.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Bray, County Wicklow Ireland, weighing in at 190 pounds, Finn Balor!
Finn makes his way down the ramp doing his signature entrance allowing the fans to interact with the lights and music. He slides along the apron and climbs onto the top turnbuckle before entering the ring, waiting for his opponent.
The familiar sound being "Regulate" by Warren G, signaling the arrival of Matt Riddle. Yeah, he didn't win at Rebellion, but he wasn't pinned, and he had Joe on the verge of tapping out to the 'Bromission.' Despite not coming out the victor, Matt still emerges from the back with a huge smile across his face. The fans instantly great him with the chants of bro, but there not quite as loud as normal. With Warren G still, blaring throughout the arena, Riddle nods his head and continues down to the ring.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, from Las Vegas Nevada, weighing in at 209 pounds, Matt Riddle!
Riddle makes it to the ring and heads up the steps and enters the ring, walking to the middle. Riddle gets on one knee and out stretches his arms, posing for the fans before returning to his feet and looking Balor up and down. The ref decides to go ahead and call for the bell.
DING DING DING
Once the bell rings, the two men stand across from one another and look to the crowd who is hot tonight, giving up dueling chants of "Let's Go Ba-lor" "Let's Go Bro!". It brings a smile to both mens faces and so Riddle walks up to the middle of the ring and extends his hand in a sign of respect for Finn. Balor looks down at it and to the crowd. It takes awhile but he finally accepts it and the two shake hands.
Tom Phillips: Nice show of respect there from these two.
Corey Graves: Oh come on, this is a wrestling match! They need to be punching each other in the face!
The two now circle around each other and go to tie up. It's a bit of a stalemate until Riddle drops to a knee and stops pushing so that Balor comes forward. Riddle slides behind him and gets a waist lock going and so Balor tries to elbow him in the side of the head. Riddle manages to dodge the incoming shots and instead lifts him high into the air with a takedown. Balor quickly tries to get into a seated position to break the grasp of the waist lock but riddle just simply moves his arms up for a sleeper. Finn slips through and kicks his feet up, catching Riddle's arms and rolling him forward into a victory roll pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
Riddle kicks out and both men get to their feet right away. Riddle sweeps Balor feet off the mat and quickly covers him.
1 . . .
2 . . .
In an impressive show of core strength, Balor bridges out of the pin and ends up back on his feet. Riddle looks on in amazement so Balor goes for a shoot kick to the face. Riddle moves his head slightly and Balor ends up with his foot on top of Riddle's shoulder. Balor is bouncing around to stay balanced as Riddle just smiles at him. Finn then decides to jump forward and place his other leg on Riddle's shoulder as if he's going for a hurrincanrana but Riddle powers up to his feet. Finn transition to around to face the same way as Riddle and goes for a reverse rana but Riddle doesn't go down. Balor is just hanging upside down until Riddle powers him back up and in one feel swoop, plants him to the mat with a wheelbarrow sitout facebuster! He simply flips Balor over and goes along with him, hooking a leg for the pin.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Balor kicks out!
Tom Phillips: Some fast paced action to start things off here Corey.
Corey Graves: I'll admit, it was a nice exchange. These two may be some of the best wrestlers on the planet but sometime a simple kick to the face is all that's needed to put someone away.
Riddle isn't one to be deterred by one simple kick out and so he goes back on the attack. Balor is trying to get up to a knee but Riddle stands over him and grabs him in another waist lock, dead-lifting him off the mat into possibly a german suplex. We'll never know though because Balor strikes him twice in the side of the head with a back elbow to break free. The Demon King then drops to his back and hits Riddle atop the head with a pele kick! Riddle ends up staggering backwards into the ropes and leans against them. Balor gets back up right away and charges at Riddle with a crossbody and connects, both men tumbling over the top rope and down to the floor.
Corey Graves: As much as I like when guys just punch each other over and over, I also love it when guys look to kill themselves just to win a match.
The crowd is loving the action between these two so far. The ref starts to count them out but they both slowly rise to their feet. Balor ends up chopping Matt right across the chest so hard that Riddle walks away, trying to walk off the pain. He turns around and ends up being at the mercy of yet another chop to the chest. This time Matt grinds his teeth and eats up the pain, retaliating with a chop of his own. You can see the pain on Finn's face but he just goes at Riddle with another chop to the chest. Matt is clearly being hurt by these more and Finn taunts him, telling him to bring the pain but this time Matt slaps the taste out of Balor's mouth and Finn falls flat on his ass from the impact. The ref has reached a count of 6 and so Matt heads back into the ring. Finn gets up and goes in not long after but Matt catches him in a front headlock right as he's sliding in. Balor is able to power through and get to his feet but the hold is still locked in. Finn then drops down to build a better base before exploding with a northern lights suplex into a bridge for the pin!
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Riddle kicks out! Balor turns over and slides backwards on his knees to the corner. Riddle is slowly getting up while Balor stalks him, raising his hand up telling Riddle to get back to his feet. Matt rises and turns around only to see Balor running at him, hitting him full speed with a dropkick to the corner, Matt's head bouncing off the second turnbuckle! The sheer momentum of the hit makes Riddle falls forward and turn over onto his back as the Demon King heads to the top rope. The fans are all on their feet as he leaps off for the Coup De Grace but Matt rolls out of the way just in time! Balor turns around and eats a jumping side kick to the face! Matt now jumps at the opportunity and pins him.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Balor gets the shoulder up at 2! Matt grabs the arm Balor got up and wraps around it for an armbar! Balor brings his other arm around just in time to keep his hands together but Matt is trying desperately to get them apart. Balor ends up rolling over with enough leverage to pin Matt's shoulders to the mat but Riddle let's go before the ref can even count to 1. Both men sprawl to their feet and stand off once again. It's back to square one as the circle around one another until suddenly the lights go out.
Tom Phillips: Wait a minute, what the hell is the Wyatt Family looking to do!
Corey Graves: Calm down Tom, the last thing you want to do is piss off the Wyatt Family. They can't be too happy after what happened at Rebellion.
Bray Wyatt appears on the stage as both Matt and Finn look confused. It's just Bray all alone. standing there and watching them. Since it doesn't look like he's actually going to do anything, Balor and Riddle get back to wrestling one another, going for a tie up with Matt pushing Finn into the corner. The ref gets to a count of 4 and Matt breaks it up only to go for a chop. Balor rolls out of the way and Riddle slaps his hand hard against the turnbuckles. He turns around holding his hand but Balor kicks him in the gut and lifts him high for a Brainbuster! Matt lands right on the top of his head and Finn follows it up by hooking the leg for the cover.
1 . . .
2 . . .
And Riddle kicks out! Balor gets right back up and claims that it's time to finish the match. He grabs Riddle and picks him up, grabbing his arm in an underhook. He's getting ready for 1916 but Bray Wyatt suddenly starts to make his way down the ramp. Balor isn't quite sure what's going on but decides to ignore him and lifts Riddle up. Matt however is able to shift his bodyweight and catch Balor with an inside cradle for the pin!
1 . . .
2 . . .
3 . . .
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner, Matt Riddle!
Riddle rolls out of the ring right away and holds his arms high in celebration. Balor can't believe what just happened and looks at Bray Wyatt who is just laughing on the outside. He demands that Wyatt come into the ring and face him but Bray just turns around and leaves laughing. Balor goes out of the ring to chase him but the lights go out once more and when they turn back on, Wyatt is nowhere to be seen. Balor is looking around confused as the scene fades out.
The action so far on NXT has been off the chain. It is now time to cut from the action in the ring as the cameras do just that. The cameras cut to a familiar face, standing with a microphone.
Todd Grisham: Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman, Todd Grisham here and I'm here with the lovely Duchess of Dudleyville. Please Welcome my guest at this time, Stacy Keibler.
The camera pans out, showing Stacy Keibler standing next to Todd looking at him. Stacy looks at him, motioning for him to bring the mic closer as she speaks.
Stacy Keibler: Don't forget that I'm still your First Lady of NXT.
Todd: Of course how could I forget. Ladies and Gentlemen, the First Lady of NXT, Stacy Keibler.
Stacy: See, how much better was that introduction Todd, how much better did that roll off your tongue? Whoa, hang on a second, I don't mean to be rude but how come you are doing my interview? I haven't seen you around here before and I thought Renee was the backstage interviewer?
Todd: Normally she is but I have a bit of free time coming up so I had a word with Ethan Carter the Third and he said I could have a warm up tonight to see how I go. If I impress here, I might be getting a job in the future for NXT.
Stacy: Well then darling, let's go ahead and try to get you this job shall we. I'm all yours.
Todd: Thank you Stacy. Now first of all, what are your thoughts on Spike Dudley's recent match at Rebellion?
Stacy: Oh toddy, toddy, toddy, I give you a chance and that's the first question you ask me. Listen it's a great question but you could have maybe worded it a little better. How about this, 'Stacy, how does it feel to still be the First Lady of NXT after Rebellion'. Once again doesn't that just sound so great. You see Todd, Rebellion was a night to remember for me, I can't really remember the night after Rebellion finished but I can remember sitting in our caravan at Dudleyville watching the Main Event. Watching my sexy man do his thing and what a great show he put on. Once again he stood toe to toe with Kevin Steen and he took everything he had to chuck at him. You would think Kevin Steen would tear up his contract and just give up now that he couldn't take my man's title.
Todd: In all due respect Stacy, Kevin Steen actually won that match with some help from Dolph Ziggler and although it was by disqualification, it did look like Kevin was in control.
Todd pushes the mic back to Stacy's mouth as she changes her face to one of shock.
Stacy: Are you serious? You think Kevin Steen had control of my man? Have you not seen any of my man's matches before? Are you another one that underestimates Spike Dudley, your International Champion? Let's get one thing straight Toddy. Spike Dudley would have won that match and defended his title if it wasn't for Dolph Ziggler. You should be standing here with that ugly, hairy bear and ask him how it feels that Dolph saved his backside. If Dolph didn't decide to get involved, Spike would have just embarrassed him once again like he has done so many times in the past.
Todd: You will find a few people might disagree, like Kevin Steen himself who is scheduled to meet your other half in the ring tonight, what do you think will happen when those 3 men involved in the ending of Rebellion meet in the ring?
Stacy: It doesn't really matter what I think will happen because we all know anything can happen. I know full well what Kevin Steen and Dolph Ziggler want though and that's my man's International Championship. They are only human so I can't blame them but their biggest problem is that Spike isn't going to give it up without a fight. I know both of those guys and as soon as the going gets tough, they will tuck their tails between their legs and leave my Spikey alone.
Todd: Do you think this meeting might have an implication on the main event of Wrestlemania?
Stacy: Of course it will. You know ever since Robert Roode decided he wanted to go the easy road and actually win his match at Wrestlemania... because let's be honest, ain't no way that loser was beating Spike, I have wondered who Spike will be facing at the Grandest Stage of them all but that hasn't been my biggest worry recently. No, what is keeping me awake at night is just who to invite to the biggest celebration the world has ever seen for when Spike walks in champion at Wrestlemania and beats whoever he is facing to walk out champion at Wrestlemania. I thought you might have been a welcome guest at this party Toddy but after this little interview, I'm sorry but your invitation has been canceled. Now if you will please excuse me, I have to go and prepare my Tag Team wrestlers for their match against the champions. Good luck Todd and although you asked all the wrong questions...... I still hope you get the job because that's just the kind of person I am.
With that, Stacy looks at Todd, with a smile on her face but it quickly turns into a snarl as she makes her exit away from the camera spotlight. The camera remains on Todd as he shrugs his shoulders before it goes somewhere else.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the UWF Hardcore Championship! Introducing first
The engine revs and the guitar riffs and the sound of the booing crowd completes the entrance music of Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf steps out from the back, and slowly makes his way to the start of the ramp. He pauses for a second before stretching his arms to his sides to be hit by a spotlight. Corbin continues his walk to the ring.He enters the ring and is once again hit by a spot light while he stands center. The lights return to normal and his music fades away, leaving the sound of the buzzing fans around him.
Tony Chimel:Introducing first, the challenger, from Kansas City Missouri, weighing in at 275 pounds, The Lone Wolf, Baron Corbin.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!
As the opening lines to the theme song of Owen Hart play the crowd turns towards the stage showering boos on the current Hardcore Champion. It isn't long before Owen Hart is making his presence known on the stage amidst the hate, his title dragged across the ground in the left hand and a smile on his face. He walks down the ramp, ascends the stairs and enters the ring. Once in the ring Owen violently whips the title from the ground onto his shoulder as he stares down his competition for the evening.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, he is the reigning and defending UWF Hardcore Champion, Owen Hart!
Tom Phillips:Well folks it should be noted we could be seeing something interesting here tonight, a Hardcore Championship match without the use of any weapons. As over the course of the week Baron Corbin has said he doesnt want to use weapons to destroy Owen Hart, he wants to do it with his bare hands.
Graves: A brash statement from the young challenger, but you have to wonder if that doesnt put this matchs outcome in the favor of the Champion Owen Hart, whose skill and tenacity in the ring is legendary.
Ding Ding Ding
The Hardcore Title is on the line as Corbin and Hart tie up in the center of the ring, the fans who were expecting a Hardcore brawl are underwhelmed, but who knows what can happen in a match like this. Corbin quickly throws Hart into a headlock and looks to drive him down to the mat, however before he can Hart falls into the ropes in order to gain momentum and leverage and sends Corbin shooting off of them. Owen prepares to take Corbin down, but the challenger surprises the champion and drops him with a hard shoulder block! Hart hits the mat and quickly rolls out of the ring and out of danger. Corbin stands ready for Owen to get back into the ring, but the Champion instead reaches underneath the apron and pulls out a cooking tray, yes a cooking tray. Owen gets a crazed look in his eyes before he slides back into the ring. The fans cheer as Owen goes after Corbin with the cooking tray, but the Lone Wolf will have nothing to do with it and quickly leaps out of the ring and out of harm's way, getting jeers from the crowd.
Tom Phillps:Well I spoke too soon. It looks like this match will be hardcore after all.
Graves: Ah come on! I was looking forward to a technical masterpiece of a match, but this psycho Owen Hart couldnt even give us a few moves before he lost it!
Corbin stands on the outside of the ring and tells Owen he isnt going to play like that. He shakes his head turning his back on the ring to reiterate his point to the sold out crowd. Thats all Owen needs as he hits the ropes, pulls himself up and over, and when Corbin turns Owen Hart comes crashing down on the Lone Wolf! The fans boo loudly as they absolutely hate Owen, Hart ignores them as he picks up Corbin and tosses him back into the ring. Owen doesnt follow up, instead he goes back under the ring and this time pulls out something a little more intimidating, a steel trash can! The fans like this oh so much more as Owen rolls into the ring with it. Corbin as taken refugee and gotten to his feet in the corner. Naturally the Hardcore Champion looks to take his head off and charges looking to drive the trash can into Corbins chest. At the last moment however Corbin gets his boot up and steps into it, catching the trashcan with a big boot that knocks the Hardcore Champion to the mat.
Graves: Good! Owen Hart got exactly what was coming to him for bringing in these weapons when all Baron Corbin wanted to do was have a wrestling match.
Phillips: Well in fairness Corbin never said Owen couldnt bring weapons into the match, merely that he didnt need them.
Owen gets up loopy and the Challenger just grabs him with an emotionless face and sends him off the rope. No one is sure what to think but when Owen comes back Corbin shows what he can do with his size and strength alone, lifting Owen up and connecting with a spinning back suplex he calls the Deep Six! Owens body bounces sickeningly off of the mat. Corbin goes for the cover.

NO! The Champion gets the shoulder up!
Corbin gets up and looks around the ring and sees the trash can slightly dented in the ring. Corbin said he wouldnt use a weapon but not that he wouldnt drop Owen onto one. He kicks the trash can towards the center of the ring as the crowd get quiet not sure what to think of what Corbin may be planning.
Phillips: What on earth is Baron Corbin thinking here?
Graves: Hes thinking if Owen Hart wants to play with fire, Baron Corbin will fry him. I dont know what he is going to do, but with the size and strength of the challenger anything is possible.
The idea Corbin has is terrible and most people dont even understand it until he hits it. Corbin picks up Owen and drives his knee into Owens gut, staggering him to throw him into a vertical suplex. However instead of going backwards, Corbin switches to a front suplex and slams Owen down on top of the trash can. Owens back makes a sickening thud as the crowd ooh and ahh. Corbin is all smiles as he falls on top of Owen to become the New Hardcore Champion.

NO! Owen gets the shoulder up at the last possible second!
Phillips:I thought for sure we were going to have ourselves a New Hardcore Champion there, but somehow and someway Owen Hart managed to kick out.
Graves: Harts back has to be broken after an impact like that, yet the Champion kicks out. It had to be instinct Tom, thats the only way after something like that.
Corbin cant believe it anymore then the crowd and the announce team as he looks at the official and says 3, but the official shakes his head no and tells him it was only a two count. Corbin stands up and gets in the officials face. Corbin attempts to intimidate the official but it doesnt do anything as he wont change the decision. Corbin, now angry, picks up the Hardcore Champion and throws him up onto his shoulder. The crowd doesnt like what Corbin is planning as he points to a corner, he intends to hit Owen with a snake eyes and then end his title reign with the End of Days. Corbin begins his charge towards the turnbuckle when the Hardcore Champion comes to life and falls off of Corbins shoulders. Hart uses Corbins momentum to shove him hard and the challenger hits the turnbuckle HARD! Corbin goes staggering, and Owen, despite the fact his back is killing him climbs up to the top rope. Corbin turns towards the Champion and Owen unleashes and connects with a Missile Dropkick. The challenger falls to the mat but Owen cant capitalize, instead holding his back in pain.
Phillips:Owen Hart coming to life here and connecting with that huge missile dropkick, but the Champions back is in too much pain for him to take advantage.
Graves:Ill admit I am impressed as hell at what Owen pulled off there but he is going to need to suck it up and quick to put Corbin down here!
Both superstars get to their feet at the same time and Corbin drives his knee into Owens gut. Hart loses the air in his lungs allowing Corbin to attempt to throw the Hardcore Champion into the ropes. At the last second however Hart counters, and Corbin goes into the ropes instead. Corbin comes back and Owen nails him with a spinning wheel kick. The fans can feel it in the air as Owen gets up holding his back and heads over and picks up the cooking tray from earlier. Owen then proceeds to go back up to the top rope. Corbin rises to his feet as the fans arent sure what to think as Owen leaps off, driving the cookie tray right into the skull of the Lone Wolf! Corbin falls to the mat hard, but as Owen lands on his feet his back gives out. It stops Owen from being able to make the cover and retain his championship!
Phillips: Wow! Owen Hart literally flying here tonight in order to retain his Hardcore Championship, but with his back injured how much can he truly do.
Graves: Come on Psycho boy forget the pain and get the job done. Unless you want to share the same fate as Samoa Joe and Matt Riddle did at Rebellion!
Owen realizes going down for a cover might be trouble in regards to getting back up so he decides hes going to do something that doesnt require too much bending. The crowd rise to their feet as Owen grabs the legs of the challenger and places his one foot through them. The crowd cheer the move not the man, as Owen Hart rolls Corbin over onto his stomach and locks in the legendary sharpshooter!
Phillips: Sharpshooter! Owen Hart might have just figured out how to win this match, even with a shot back. Hes got Baron Corbin in the Sharpshooter, and hes made bigger men tap to this move.
Graves:Owen Hart has never faced someone like Baron Corbin, but this might be his best chance to retain here tonight!
Indeed it is as Corbin is writhing in pain, Owen has this match nearly in the bag as Corbin throws up his hand into the air. Corbin clenches his teeth in rage, trying to let that anger fuel him. Corbin is on the verge of making a huge career altering decision when the crowd begin to boo as a presence makes his way out from the back. It is none other than CM Punk! Punk charges the ring and gets up on the apron, so that he is staring right into the eyes of Owen Hart! Hart has a decision to make and lets go of the Sharpshooter, his hatred for Punk driving his insanity into action. However Punk leaps off the apron and begins walking away before Owen can get anywhere near him. Punk begins laughing at Owen, as Owen is seething looking to get himself a piece.
Phillips: CM Punk just distracted Owen Hart who let go of the Sharpshooter. Had Owen held it in we might have seen Corbin tap there.
Graves: Well never know now, because Owens own psychosis just caused him to let go of his most deadly maneuver in his entire arsenal.
Owen thinks he has plenty of time, after all he just had Corbin in the sharpshooter, but the challenger is made of very tough stuff, and Corbin rises to his feet behind the Hardcore Champion. Owen hears movement behind him and turns, RIGHT INTO THE END OF DAYS! Corbin drives Owen down on his injured back hard! Before Corbin goes for the cover.

HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND THE NEW UWF HARDCORE CHAMPION: THE LONE WOLF BARON CORBIN
Phillips: I cant believe it! We have a new Hardcore Champion. My head is spinning right now where did Baron Corbin come from.
Graves:Most people get put in the Sharpshooter like that they are down and out for the count. Corbin, a monster, just stood up, and thanks to that we have a new Hardcore Champion. Fantastic!
Corbin has his hand raised in victory and handed the title, but Corbin pretty much ignores the belt. Instead he is just happy with the victory and heads out of the ring. Corbin wants to act like he has been here before. As he exits the ring CM Punk enters it for the first time. Owen is hurt possibly with a bad back and the Chicago native could careless. He grabs the now former Hardcore Champion and throws him up onto his shoulders. The Official tries his hardest to get Punk to stop, but NOPE! Punk unleashes the GTS on Owen. Owens skull bounces sickeningly off of Punks knee!
Graves: CM Punk taking advantage here tonight of his old foe, and now Owen Hart can have a concussion to go with that injured back. When it rains it pours for the Hart Family doesnt it.
Phillips: This is a sickening attack, after Owen Hart was in a war for his now lost Hardcore Championship, Punk is in their like a vulture! I guess this isnt over between these two by a long shot.
CM Punk mocks Owen Hart by signing Owen Hart is sleeping like a baby.
CM Punk then demands for a microphone as he is given one by the ring announcer.
CM Punk:
Did you think I was going to stay home tonight Owen? Did you really think after what played before NXT began that I was going to not appear? You thought wrong Owen. Did you wait all night to see if I'd be here? Like I said... I was closer than you think! I destroyed something that meant something to you... but like I said earlier, I wasn't done with you! You know Owen, not all Super-heroes wear capes. I never asked to be a hero, I never asked to be a Villain either... I'm simply just me. Perhaps I could be a bit of both, but where's the fun in that? I'm still that sick, twisted son-of-a-bitch Owen! You'll be very surprised to what I can do to your own mind. You've not met deranged until you've really witnessed it. This isn't some sickening job, this isn't the perplexed ongoing of CM Punk's life. Not at all Owen, this isn't the beginning nor the revolution, this is the dark side. The side that everyone thought they saw in BulletProof, the side they thought they saw when I continued to align with everyone else. Where are they Owen? Where did they all go? I dismantled each and every single one of them, including Seth Rollins. Mind you, he's still contracted but he isn't needed. I don't need anybody Owen, I don't need anyone to prove myself around here. Where as you, you've not needed anybody... but have you needed your family when it truly mattered? I told you Owen... I've got nothing to lose. My Family... I don't care about them. I don't care about my alcoholic father, perhaps I did a few months ago and allowed myself to spiral out of control because I wanted to reach out... but no. I don't have anything to lose, you, Owen... you've got everything. I've already spoken with Management tonight and the stipulation I've chosen for our match at WrestleMania has been confirmed. Allow me to elaborate.
It's a first time ever in UWF. I hope you're still listening here Owen... because if you're not, I'm sure someone can send you a tape so you can re-watch all of this. It's important that you understand what's happening here. We're going to be facing off in what's called a CAGE OF DEATH! It's not just your regular cage match Owen... I want the audience to take a look at the titantron.
The crowd gasp as soon as they see the image of what a Cage of Death looks like.
CM Punk:
Barbed Wires surrounding the cage but that isn't all. The top of the cage is electrified, cacti is also on the bottom of the apron. There's tables, light-tubes, glass panes, thumbtacks, baseball bat filled with barbed wires. Not to mention, there's a scaffold on the top of it all that has chairs and tables set up. Owen, you wanted the fuel ignited. The flame is lit, well lit in fact... are you now afraid? Is this what you wanted? I'm willing to put my body on the line here Owen, if I die, I die. But you... if you die, what does it mean for the prestigious HART family? You've already scolded into a black heart, you've already desired yourself as a man that's got no heart. What I'm going to do is ensure this match will be your final breath Owen. I'm insanely messed in the head, over the past two years there was one thing I wanted to reclaim and that was the International Championship. I spent all 2016 trying and yet failing at every single cost. Do you not realize all that frustration almost sent me over the edge, the noose... Yeah, that happened too. I came so close. But I chose to stay, why? Why did I choose to stay because I promised myself one thing... I promised myself that this is what I'm here for! No matter how many times I get knocked back, I'm going to eventually capture what I truly came back for. I'll die trying at all cost Owen... but at WrestleMania, you and I... Cage of Death. One survives. One escapes the victor and it certainly won't be you...
The titantron switches from the UWF NXT graphic to a feed from somewhere else in the arena. The Proletariat Boar of Moldova is seen with The Young Bucks - Matt and Nick Jackson. Matt, of course, is sporting his UWF Transatlantic Championship over his shoulder.
The trio is walking around, but in the hallways of the buildings, not backstage. They pass by fans who can't help but stop and hurl insults, but The Union members ignore these. The Bucks are too curious about where they are being lead to worry about anything else.
Matt: Hey man, where are we going anyway? I don't like being out here around all the common people.
Nick: Yeah dude, shouldn't we be like... in Cannon's office forcing hi to sign paperwork recognizing our rights as workers or something?
The Boar turns around and pushes his finger into Matt's chest firmly.
Proletariat Boar: The common people are our comrades! Never forget that! And paperwork is the hobby of weak bureaucrats! We are men of action!
The Boar turns around and continues on his way, and the Bucks follow.
Matt: Fine, whatever man. Whatever you say.
Nick: So what's this big plan of yours anyway? How are we gonna stick it to the man?
They finally stop at a merch stand, and since the show is happening in the arena, there isn't much of a line. They cut to the front anyway, which doesn't make the merch salesperson very happy.
Merch Guy: Hey, you guys can't just -
Proletariat Boar: The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Be free of you capitalist chains! The market has never been free. We are here as soldiers of liberation, brother!
Merch Guy: Uh.... what? I'm calling sec-
The Proletariat Boar doesn't give him a chance to finish before slamming his face down into the table, knocking him out instantly. The fans in the line scream and scatter. The Boar pushes the body aside before walking around to the other side of the table. The Bucks simply watch in amazement.
Proletariat Boar: A casualty of the war, friends. Nothing more. The streets will run red with the blood of the bourgeoisie. Those who cannot be educated will be eliminated. It is the only way.
Matt and Nick look at each other, not sure what they've gotten themselves in to.
Matt: Are we... are we robbing a merch table?
The Boar crudely opens a cash box, dumps it on the table and lights the dollar bills on fire with a match he pulled from his tights as he answers.
Proletariat Boar: One cannot steal from a capitalist, Matthew. One can only fight against the oppression of the myth of the American Dream. We will cripple the class system with fire and violence. And tonight, we will seize the means! Let us distribute the wealth evenly among the working class.
The Boar starts tossing t-shirts aside before reaching the end of the table, where he finds the replica title belts that are for sale.
Proletariat Boar: Golden trophies to divide the workers and cause them to turn on each other! This will be our first step in uniting the front. Here... take...
He starts handing out titles to Matt and Nick one at a time. It soon becomes difficult for them to carry them all.
Proletariat Boar: We will mock their tyrannical system and primitive tactics by parading their captured prizes around.
Nick: I don't think Kevin's gonna like this. I mean, this is a replica International Championship belt... I don't want to rub it or anything, ya know? That's still a pretty sensitive subject with him.
Proletariat Boar: Kevin must win that title back to further our cause, but our fight happens here. Name that belt whatever you want. It is yours now! They are all yours! Never again will titles be taken from you by unjust means... for the means have been seized!
The Boar kicks over the table sending shirts everywhere. He then starts walking away down the hallway, leaving the Bucks standing there with a bunch of title belts in their arms. Nick looks down at the replica International Championship belt.
Nick: So... we just call them whatever we want?
Matt: He said they're ours now, and that guy knows a lot of big words, so I definitely think he knows what he's talking about.
Nick nods.
Nick: Then I guess I'm the new... uh... Pacific... um... Rim... Openweight Champion! Yeah!
Matt looks down and realizes that they are each holding replica tag team championship belts.
Matt: And it looks like you and me are... uh, let's see here... yeah... Yeah! It looks like we're the Baltic Nations Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions!
Nick: I'm gonna call this one The Arctic Death Match title!
Matt: Oh sweet! I'm gonna say this little guy here is the Open the Sub-Saharan Gate Championship.
Nick: Hey... it looks live we've got three rip-off Hardcore titles... what should we call them?
Matt: Let's give one to Kevin. We can be the Oceanic Six-Man Tag Team Champions.
Nick: Sweet. Friggin Sweet.
Matt: Yeah! Hey... we should probably bounce before security gets here.
Nick nods in agreement and The Bucks run off with all their new titles. NXT continues elsewhere.
Fading in from the black, we're taken backstage once more where we see the recently-crowned tag team champions, TM-61, backstage, and it's immediately assumed that both members will want to speak their piece with their recent victory over the Young Bucks, and their upcoming match later tonight -- against the Dudley Boys. Nick Miller takes point--
Nick Miller: "The gold. The brass. The strap. No matter what you call it, all are synonymous with the UWF Tag Team Championship. Thus, all are synonymous with TM-61. They tell you who's at the top of this company, who's at the top of the food chain -- that's us. The history books have been written, the records have been set. We're already in history -- and we won't be a footnote."
Shane Thorne: "Not today, not tomorrow -- not ever. These belts are sticking with us for a while. That's a promise. It's the same kind of promise we made when we said we would eventually be at the top of this company -- yet here we are; a promise fulfilled, an oath paid in blood and sacrifice."
Nick Miller: "The Dudleys have traveled down a similar path; they've been here for a while. They've proven themselves to be apt competition in past, but also in the past, we've proven to be too much competition for them. Such was the same for the Young Bucks; we were too much of a challenge. Such was the same for the Wyatt Family; they couldn't beat us either. Such was the same for Jericho and Batista; they crumbled before us. The list keeps going; we've proven our dominance."
Shane Thorne: "This isn't a truth you can dance around, ladies and gentlemen; TM-61 are a mainstay force here in NXT. We won't be leaving for the other brand. We won't be jumping ship. We will be right here, doing what we do best -- and that's professional wrestling."
The scene fades to black.
YER, WE'RE COMING DOWN
GET UP, GET UP, GET UP
DROP THE BOMBSHELL.
The crowd rise to their feet as they wait for the appearance of the Former Tag Team Champions. Surely enough, two figures emerge from the back, all dressed up in cameo gear with glasses on their head without the lens Devon runs to one side, doing the usual Devon stuff he does whilst Bubba stays dead center of the stage. Devon walks back to the center joining Bubba. Bubba has his glasses in his hand while Devon takes his off
Tony Chimel: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, at a combined weight of 565 pounds, Buuba Ray and Devon, The Dudley Boyz!
Bubba points towards the ring as both Dudleyz start to run towards the ring, ignoring the fans bending over the side rails asking for a high five. They both slide into the ring, Bubba slowly makes his way to the apron. Devon slaps his chest whilst looking into the crowd until their opponents make their way out.
A series of familiar riffs reverberate throughout the arena; there's no doubt it's the recently-crowned champions, TM-61, as the audience rise to their feet; cheering and applauding. Both members enter one after another, with each of the belts wrapped around their waists. Shane Thorne whips a towel around over his head, whilst Nick follows close in pursuit. In response, the audience proceed to whip around whatever loose cloth they have on them, doing so in tangent with Shane Thorne-
Tony Chimel: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 450 pounds, they are the NXT Tag Team Champions, Shane Thorne and Nick Miller, TM61!
They hop onto the apron, each member entering the ring through and between the middle and top rope. As soon as they get into the ring, they offer an applause of respect to the Dudley Boys, nodding their heads, as if to respect the old-timers.
VS
DING DING DING!
There goes the starting bell and we're off to the races. It's determined that Nick Miller and Bubba Ray are going to start things off as Shane Thorne and Devon step to the outside. The pair size each other up and Miller comes in looking for a tie-up, but as he does Bubba lifts an elbow and connects flush with his face. Miller is staggered; this is all the invitation Bubba needs as he grabs Nick by the wrist and Irish whips him into the ropes. As Miller rebounds Bubba doubles over for a back body drop, but Miller instead leaps over Bubba and as the Dudley brother gets full vertical and turned around, there's Nick Miller with a running forearm! As Bubba gets back to his feet, Miller now effectively ties him up and drives him back into TM-61's corner. He then unloads with a nasty-sounding chop, and a second, before climbing up onto the turnbuckle and raining some stiff punches down on Bubba's head. As Miller hits ten with the audience counting each blow, he offers his palm for the tag and Shane Thorne tags in. Miller then leads Bubba out of the corner and connects with a quick slam as Thorne goes up high and comes over the top with a leg drop! Thorne hooks the leg.
Tom Phillips: Exemplary teamwork from the tag champions TM-61, and Corey, it's really been something to watch this team work over the past several months here on NXT.
Corey Graves: Well, they're the champions and there's something to be said for that, but I'm not convinced they're the best even in the NXT tag division. There's a lot of legit contenders for those belts.
Thorne pulls Bubba to his feet, and then quickly puts him in a side headlock. The Aussie is content to keep the Dudley trapped in the hold, wrenching on his neck, for several moments while the fans buzz. But Bubba's not going to stay locked up long, and soon enough he gets hands on Thorne's waist and, guiding them both to the ropes, manages to bounce Thorne off of the ropes and push free while sending one half of the tag champions headed for the ropes opposite. On the rebound, Bubba simply steps into Thorne and connects with a nasty shoulder thrust that grounds the Aussie. Bubba then bends down, hauls Thorne up and connects with a scoop slam. The fans applaud the force of the slam as Bubba starts to head for his corner, but before he gets there, Thorne is up and on him again with clubbing blows. Thorne grabs Bubba by the head and sends him running into TM-61's corner, dashing after him such that mere milliseconds after Bubba's back hits the turnbuckles Thorne's knee is hitting him in the face. Bubba is rocked by the corner move as Thorne hops off the second turnbuckle and, transitioning into a headlock, dashes forward and hits a facebuster! Thorne rolls Bubba over as the crowd pop and he goes for a cover.

Corey Graves: Kickout from Bubba Ray!
Tom Phillips: What a well-balanced match-up this is proving to be, Corey.
Thorne, put out by the kick-out, reaches and tags Miller back in. As Miller enters the ring Thorne gets Bubba to his feet and clutches him in preparation for a suplex. As Thorne drops Bubba, Miller hits the ropes running and springboards into a moonsault! He hooks the leg, now.

...NO!
Tom Phillips: Another kick-out from Bubba but he's in trouble.
Corey Graves: That's right, Tom. All of these accumulating blows are wearing him down and putting a lot of hurt on him. Bubba needs to make a tag soon or this match is as good as lost.
Miller gets to his feet, pulling Bubba vertical as he does so, and throws Bubba into the ropes. As he rebounds Miller connects with a corkscrew lariat! Miller then pulls Bubba to his feet yet again, this time to once again toss him into TM-61's corner! Bubba hits the turnbuckle looking completely gassed and Miller charges, preparing to deliver a corner clothesline. Unfortunately, Bubba gets a boot up at the last second and hoofs Miller square on the jaw! Miller staggers backward while Bubba elbows Thorne in the face, then charges Miller and drives him back into the Dudley corner where Bubba finally tags in Devon! Bubba connects with some shoulder thrusts in the meanwhile, then makes an exit as Devon comes in fresh.
Corey Graves: Well, Bubba had to make a tag and now he's made it and the tables are turned. Devon Dudley is completely fresh here, Tom.
Devon follows up on Bubba's shoulder thrusts with some knee lifts of his own on Miller in the corner. Nick seems completely winded by the successive blows as Devon leads him by the ear out of the corner, then damn near decapitates him with a nasty lariat. Devon quickly pulls Miller to his feet, then hooks his arm around the Aussie's front side in what almost looks like a Rock Bottom clutch before spinning him into a side slam! Miller eats canvas and immediately sits up with a hand against his spine before rolling onto his side, but Devon doesn't leave him there long as he forces Miller onto his back and makes a cover.

...NO!
Tom Phillips: Vital kick-out by Nick Miller there.
Corey Graves: Every kick-out is vital, Tom. If you don't kick-out of a cover you lose.
Devon gets to his feet seeming calm and all-business as he pulls Miller to his feet and sends him into the ropes. Miller rebounds and is caught by Devon who lifts him up and drops him unceremoniously with a thrust spinebuster! Devon immediately falls in for another cover.
1...
2...
...NO!
Corey Graves: Took a bit longer on that kick-out, but it's no less vital than the last one... and all of the kick-outs before it in this match.
Tom Phillips: OK, OK, thanks for being an ass, Corey.
Corey Graves: Just learn to call a match.
Devon gets up on his feet again and this time he does seem mildly annoyed as he pulls Miller to his feet. Miller, however, shoves Devon away. The Dudley, looking further aggravated, charges but as he does Miller leaps into a dropkick to Devon's face! The Dudley collapses to the canvas as Miller lands on his already aggravated back. Neither man is in a rush to get to his feet, one hurt and the other dazed. The referee isn't going to start a count however as both men are moving, just on the canvas and slowly. Miller starts crawling toward his corner right around when Devon does, and the fans are each chanting for their personal favourite team. It's Miller who makes the tag first, but only moments before Devon as Thorne and Bubba both enter the ring. Thorne's faster and so he's charging across the ring and goes for a running forearm, but Bubba ducks it. As Thorne lands, he rebounds off the ropes and into a lift by Bubba while a recovering Devon connects with the cutter, collectively comprising the 3-D! The fans of the Dudleys pop loudly as Bubba goes for the cover!

DING DING DING!
Here are your winners,
THE DUDLEY BOYZ!
Corey Graves: Well, perseverance was everything here tonight Tom after the Dudleyz not only weathered a co-ordinated onslaught from the tag champions, but managed to pull out a win.
Tom Phillips: There's something to be said for experience and the wisdom one gleans from it. The Dudleyz have been competing as a team for decades basically since TM-61 were kids. They've seen their fair share of opponents.
Bubba and Devon are celebrating their victory in the ring until out of nowhere, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan come up from behind them and lay them out! The former Champions continue their assault as the crowd boos them. They walk over to the ringside area and grabs the NXT Tag Team Championships and raise them over their heads, signaling that they want them back. They turn around though and get met with a pair of superkicks by the Young Bucks! The tells the Wyatt Family to suck it and take the belt and pretend to play guitar with them to their own theme music. They pose with the belts one last time until the live feed goes elsewhere.

We go back to the ring where the crowd is eagerly awaiting the arrival of three of the top stars in UWF. Unfortunately for them, they have to also be subjugated to the arrival of EC3.

The General Manager of NXT steps out from the back. He walks down the ramp as the crowd gives off a negative reaction. He heads straight down to the ring and uses the steel steps to get into the ring. He gets handed a mic from a ringside crew member and raises it to speak.
EC3: I know you're all dying to hear about what I plan to do about the whole Spike Dudley, Kevin Steen, Dolph Ziggler fiasco but first things first, Wrestlemania is coming up. April 9th to be exact and NXT has some very big matches in the making. Some of which I'd like to announce right now. As you may have heard earlier, CM Punk will be taking on Owen Hart in a Cage of Death match. As for the new Hardcore Champion, well he's got a big match too. The title will not be on the line at Wrestlemania because he has something bigger to potentially claim. The Money in the Bank.
The fans cheer wildly for the return of NXT's MITB.
EC3: This year I will no longer require the one month's notice clause. You are free to cash it in whenever you'd like. Joining Baron Corbin will be the potential new Intercontinental Champion, The Rock. I'm looking for new talent to freshen up the main event scene so I'm giving some new blood a big opportunity. The newest being the man who has yet to be pinned or submitted, Matt Riddle. Not everyone in this match is necessarily new though. For example, this man was in last year's Money in the Bank match and he'll have a shot at it again, the Dead Prez, Steve Blackman who is coming in with some big momentum. Another man in this match has made his mark here but has yet to capture the big one, Kurt Angle. Speaking of Angle, he was attacked earlier tonight by the final man who has been looking to make a name for himself for quite some time. That man is none other than Goldberg. None of these men have been Champion on NXT but once they win this match, it'll be all but guaranteed.
There is chatter among the crowd, all wondering just who will become the next MITB.
EC3: As far as the Tag Team Division goes, I think the Dudley Boys have earned a two on two shot against TM61 but apparently the former champions and the champions who ran roughshod over the division last year seem to think they're still in contention. So at Wrestlemania the four teams will face off in a fatal four way tag team match!
The crowd cheers for another big match for Wrestlemania, their excitement growing as the card continues to get announced.
EC3: Now then, I'd like to say that Rebellion was a success but unfortunately the main event ended in controversy. I wanted to see if Kevin Steen could actually do well on his promise to regain the International Championship or if Spike would overcome the odds again and continue his winning streak against the most dominant man in NXT but none of us were able to see it because Dolph Ziggler decided to get involved in the match even after I suspended him.
The crowd starts to boo heavily.
EC3: I will deal with Dolph later but for now, I'd like to introduce the current International Champion, Spike Dudley.
EC3 points towards the stage, with fireworks streaking down from the roof as another familiar tune rings out around the arena.
YER, WE'RE COMING DOWN
GET UP, GET UP, GET UP
DROP THE BOMBSHELL.
The crowd reach another level as the cheers and roars are deafening for the Runt of the Dudley family. He doesn't leave them waiting long as he makes his way onto the stage, the International Championship in his grasp as pauses in the middle. He looks out into the fans going wild as he places his hand on his heart, mouthing "Thank you". He points to the title as he lifts it high in the air with a massive smile.
He continues his walk down the ramp, a little gingerly from his battle with Kevin Steen as he also gives all the fans high fives who are asking for it. He slides the title underneath the ropes, sliding in behind it as he gets back to his feet. He picks the title up, puts it back over his shoulder and walks over to EC3. He extends his hand out, looking for a handshake.
EC3: First of all Spike, I'm sorry your big match had to end that way. I wanted to see if you truly have what it takes to represent NXT. As much as I dislike Kevin Steen, he represented NXT well. As a mater of fact, let's get him out here quickly so I can make the announcement.
THE UNION
On cue, the two-tone guitar riff cuts through the PA and is instantly greeted with a resounding and unanimous chorus of boos from the crowd. When the groove kicks in, Kevin Steen storms out on to the ramp. While generally hostile and unpleasant, "Mr. Wrestling" is often calm when going out to the ring, but that sure isn't the case tonight. He's pissed off. The former International Champion marches straight down to the squared circle, ignoring the hate from the capacity crowd.
Steen climbs the stairs, walks halfway across the apron and steps through the ropes before getting right in Spike's face. The Champ doesn't back down, and soon the two are nose-to-nose, arguing about which one actually deserves to hold the gold. It looks like it might quickly come to blows when Carter intervenes...
EC3: Okay, calm down. I know you both want to prove who the better man is and I want to find out as well. This whole crowd wants to. I can't think of a better way to settle this than at the biggest stage in UWF, Wrestlemania! In your last two matches, you guys have proved that you're willing to go above and beyond. Regardless of Bobby Roode winning the Royal Rumble, NXT will still shine the brightest. Thankfully NXT's main event won't be tainted by a less than stellar athlete so at Wrestlemania, it's going to be Spike Dudley, defending the International Championship against Kevin Steen in a....
As the driving guitar-riff intro signals the arrival of the UWF's resident Show Off, a massive wave of heat washes over the arena. The man who single-handedly ruined Rebellion's main-event emerges from the back, shouting at the top of his lungs. The booing of the crowd is so loud that what he's screaming can't be heard, but Dolph is animated about it as he foregoes his usual taunt at the top of the ramp and heads straight down toward the ring.
When he hits the foot of the ramp, Dolph gains a step and slides into the ring, then gets to his feet and eyes both the champion and his most recent challenger before looking over at NXT's head honcho, ECIII. Dolph grins and calls for a mic, and one is tossed in to him. His eyes drift back to Spike Dudley and the title he's carrying.
DOLPH ZIGGLER
Hey Spike, how does it feel to be keeping my title warm, eh? See, this might come as a surprise to some -- including the three of you guys -- but I've never been closer to winning that UWF International Championship than I have been these last few weeks. Oh, you all might not see it. "But Dolph," you all might say, "Weren't you seconds away from beating Kevin Steen for that belt in a two of three falls match you, yourself booked some weeks ago?" Well, yes. We could talk about how I had the opportunity to claim that title months ago but decided to let it go so I could take a turn at disposing the piece of human trash that is Kevin Steen with a steel chair, but that's neither here nor there.
Ziggler pauses, then shakes his head.
We could also talk about the Fatal Four Way I would have won that title in shortly afterward, had CM Punk not taken it upon himself to attack me from behind in the backstage to claim my spot. But see, what happened that night was just one man enacting the will of management to screw me out of opportunities. Because for so long, I've resisted management... I've told men like ECIII that I won't kowtow and I won't beg and scrape for their favours and where has it gotten me? It has earned me the scorn of the fans and exactly zero world title reigns, but plenty of occasions on which I was objectively screwed out of a title shot. It's disappointing. It used to make me angry. But I don't get mad anymore, I get even.
Ziggler laughs as he begins to pace.
'cause, see, that attack by CM Punk, and then watching him take my spot and challenge for a title that by now should rightfully be mine, that was actually the biggest favour anyone in this damned company has done for me. Because it showed me the kind of man that ECIII wants to represent his brand. And it showed me that if I ever want to get so close as to sniff that championship gold, I've got to do everything within my power to take it. By any means necessary. So that's exactly what I'm going to do.
Ziggy now turns his full attention on ECIII as he continues.
I told you before I assaulted Roode and before I crashed your little main event title match that until I get what I want, I'm not going to stop doing these things. A suspension won't stop me. Arresting me won't stop me. Nothing will stop me as long as I have a pulse. So just give me what I want, and no one gets hurt. Give me my world title shot at Wrestlemania!
Ziggler finishes to a massively negative response from the crowd, and Steen doesn't waste much time in responding to him.
Steen: Ethan here might not have the guts or the muscle to stop you, but I've got both, and if you don't shut your mouth, the only place you can count on being this Wrestlemania season is a hospital bed... best case scenario.
The threat actually garners some cheers from the crowd, at least from those who detest Dolph more than Kevin.
All this time you've been on NXT, all you've ever done is come up short. The career silver-medalist. The only title you could ever get your hands on was the second best, and even that didn't last long. Aztec Warfare, the G1, the Royal Rumble... twice... and that precious chance you had to book yourself a shot at me.
You think playing the rebel with nothing to lose is the missing ingredient to finally getting you into my league? No, Dolph. You're just not good enough, and you never will be, and everyone in the world seems to realize that except for you. Stop acting like a spoiled, whiny brat and get the hell out of my ring while you can still walk. You're not worth the effort of putting down, but I'm feeling awfully generous tonight as far as handing out beatings, so you might not wanna push your luck.
I'm sure there's a perfectly good match on the undercard that would suit you just fine. But the real stars have business to take care of in the main event. Seeing as you got in my way at Rebellion just before I could make good on my promise to win my title back, it's only right that I get my rematch at Wrestlemania.
Kevin turns to EC3.
For once in your miserable life, do the right thing. If you don't have the balls to fire Dolph, then get him the hell out of my ring before I break his neck and you have to pay somebody to come clean up the mess. Give me Spike at Wrestlemania. Give the match everyone knows I can win. And when I'm International Champion again, I'll keep making "your" show the best one in the world, just like I always have.
Oh... and if you're worried about Dolph's idle threats about what happens when he doesn't get his way, just wait until you see what I can do.
Steen gives EC3 a death stare as the silence is broken up.
Spike: Now if I may add my two cents in?
The International Champion finally finds his voice after listening to everyone else speak. The three other men all turn their heads to look at Spike.
Spike: I mean I think it's only fair that perhaps the most important man in this ring whilst we are on the subject of the International Championship should have his say. Don't you all agree?
Spike asks the crowd the question and they don't disappoint him at all, getting right behind him as Steen starts to shake his head.
Spike: Now, let me start off by first off saying that at Rebellion, I did what I said I would and I walked out of there still your International Champion. I told Kevin Steen that I would not only walk out of there on my own two feet but I would walk out of there still champion...... and I did exactly that. You would think though that Uncle Spike Dudley would be standing here a happy man wouldn't you? Like I should have a massive smile on my face, that I shouldn't be containing my excitement. After all, as far as I know, that's the last Pay Per View before Wrestlemania. My Road To Wrestlemania could be complete.
The crowd start a massive roar of a Spike Dudley chant as he looks around, telling them to quiet down so he can continue speaking.
Spike: However........... however Uncle Spike Dudley isn't exactly in a happy mood, as a matter of fact, I'm pretty pissed off with how Rebellion ended if I'm quite honest. You see, I'm not happy with the fact that Dolph Ziggler decided to interfere in our match and cost me the match but helping me retain my title in the process. For maybe the first time ever, I'm on Kevin Steen's side and I honestly believe Dolph Ziggler wrecked a perfectly good match but you want to know the main reason I'm pissed off? You want to know why I'm really angry? Before Rebellion even began, I told Kevin Steen that I would defeat him, I kept reminding him how he has never beaten me before even after so many attempts, he fired back with how I was going to worm my way out of keeping hold of this title. I was determined to prove him wrong and make sure everything I said, I backed up but because of you Dolph, Steen now has a victory over me and in some kind of way, I found a way to escape with this title.
This statement brings a smile to two of the other men in the ring, no prizes for guessing it's Steen and Ziggler.
Spike: Because of you Ziggler, Steen now has another reason, another excuse for his argument as to why I haven't proven myself against him yet even though I've beat him time and time again. It's all because of you. I know this will make you feel great and feel important but in reality Dolph, you did exactly what you are best at, you cheap shotted a man from behind, you wrecked a good main event, this time you didn't even have to wrestle in it for that to happen and you managed to ruin everything.
Spike really seems to be getting pissed off now as he taps his head with the mic.
Spike: Now, now you have the audacity to come out here, interrupt our general manger when he is about to announce the biggest match up of my life and believe that he owes you something? How many chances do you want Dolph? Steen just named every little time you came up short. Those were the right ways to go about things and you couldn't do it so you have sunk to a new low and using underhanded tactics to get your way. What do you think this is? Do we look like we are in high school? Do you think this is still the 4th grade?
I will grant you this though, you were screwed out of that Royal Rumble win, I will give you that but you could have gone about it a whole different way. Just the other week I was standing in this ring with those two trying to convince the Royal Rumble Winner to stay on NXT and fight me for the title. He obviously didn't listen, he obviously thought he was too big for this brand and went over to NXT. I find myself in this ring now, going to tell you the same thing I told him. You are an unbelievable talent, you have the world at your feet and NXT needs people like you but if you believe that the way you have been acting recently would get you a title shot and the decision was up to me, well you would be DAMN RIGHT!!!!
Spike yells this last part as the crowd give out a mixed reaction as Spike really seems to be loosening up now.
Spike: From day one when I defeated you Kevin for this title, I told everyone that I wanted to be a fighting champion and if you want me for this title, all you had to do was ask. I don't give a damn who I fight so Ethan, pick whoever you want to face me because I'll be walking out of Wrestlemania, the same way I walked in and that's the International Champion.
Spike looks down at his title as he finishes up. The crowd getting behind him now as he lowers the mic, still with the pissed off look on his face as Ziggler smirks and nods, then unloads with a massive Superkick to Spike's jaw! The crowd erupt in heat as ECIII and Steen step back, Dolph pouncing on the prone champion and raining fists down on his undefended face for several seconds before Steen hauls him off of the champion.
Dolph and Steen then begin to trade blows in the middle of the ring until the former world champion gets an edge, driving Dolph back into the ropes. Steen Irish whips Ziggler across the ring, but as he does Rockstar Spud jumps the barricade, climbs up on the apron and grabs his shoulder! Steen turns around and decks Spud, who falls off the apron and hits the floor, but as he does this Ziggler rebounds and connects with a Zig Zag! Steen immediately rolls over and gets on hands and knees but as he does, Dolph follows through with a Famouser!
DOLPH ZIGGLER
How about that, huh, Kev? Look who's down now, hah!
Looking around the ring at downed champion and presumed challenger, Dolph is wearing a massive grin and the fans booing the shit out of him. They calm down slightly but Ethan walks over and pats Ziggler on the shoulder, then shakes his hand to massive heat.
EC3: To be honest, I don't think either of you are good enough to represent NXT. Spike, you just don't have the look of a champion. And Kevin, this Union crap needs to end. I haven't been out to get you, you're just a paranoid fool. But if you want me to make sure I hold you back, then challenge accepted. If it was up to me, you'd be regulated to the pre show but even though we Carters completely own NXT and have no one to answer too, I still have to give you your rematch. So at Wrestlemania, it will be Spike Dudley defending the International Championship against Kevin Steen AND the rightful Royal Rumble winner, Dolph Ziggler!
EC3 drops the mic and walks over to Spike. He's holding onto the International Championship but Ethan rips it free from his grasp and hands it to Dolph, lifting his arm up high as if he already won. EC3 then leaves the ring as Dolph stands there with the title in hand and a smile on his face as the show fades out.
