As most of you know, there has been multiple delays with this weeks Revolution. Crann has suffered some personal setbacks and as a result, he will officially be stepping down as Head Writer. Dresden recently got a 2nd job and is also unable to take on the role of Head Writer. As a result, I will once again take on the job. I’ve had a good 6 month vacation and feel recharged to take it on once more. There's a few changes going to be made moving forward so I'll let you know them right now.
Writers will now be given specific feuds to write for and come up with ideas for them. I will still however be making all final decisions including who wins what matches. With the extra booking power they’ll have, I’ll also be a lot more strict on them when it comes to deadlines. I’m looking to get the shows up every week on Wednesday and will require matches to be turned in the night before the show. As a result, I want writers to get more time to write so I’ll be pushing the deadline up to 12pm the day before the show.
After Wrestlemania, we’ll be doing 3 week builds to lead into PPVs instead of 4. Feuds may come out quicker but we’ll be able to expand most into 2 or 3 months and it’ll give us 2 more PPVs a year leading to more title opportunities for everyone.
If any of you had any plans with your characters that you talked about with Crann, please contact me and let me know. We think we got them all down but in case he forgot someone, just let me know.
Lastly, Crann did a great job heading Resistance and dealing with the combining of both brands. I'd like to end this announcement with some words from the man himself.
" Hey everyone. I'm sorry for the long wait with no news followed by the sudden arrival of a lot of news all at once, but I am stepping down from my headwriter post, effective immediately.
It sucks to have to write this. It sucks to have to do this. But over the past few weeks it's become painfully obvious to myself and probably everyone else that I can't keep doing this and my continuing to try is selfishness that is smothering the fed. For doing so as long as I have, I'm sorry.
But this note isn't meant just to be a downer, so here's a positive thought to end on. I'm proud of the things I achieved as a headwriter, in spite of the difficulties. Running a show is hard work, but it also had a lot of rewards, including the development of several people in the fed and the telling of some exciting stories. I could not have achieved anything that I achieved without the trust of the TTers who I booked, and for that and your contributions, I thank you all.
This is still one of the most talented groups of creative writers I have ever been a part of, and I know you'll continue to knock things out of the park in my absence.
Good luck to all of you. And to use a tired cliche, this isn't goodbye. Just so long, for now."
I’ll keep TTing for as long as I feel capable doing but I’ll move to the tag division. Crann will be taking a break so Dresden will assume the Assistant Head Writer Position still. He will be in full control over the tag team division so I don’t have any say in my booking.
