Hey guys, I'm just two months shy of it being the third anniversary of me becoming a Head Writer. Unfortunately in that time I've suffered some heavy burnout. As someone who has been with this fed since its inception for every single week of it's life, it's hard to do but I've got to walk away. I can no longer find the motivation to write and I am a firm believer that the Head Writer should be the one leading by example. I always made sure to write the most matches, hunker down and cover for people who bailed last minute and did whatever it took to get shows up on time. Those of you who have seen me back in my NXT days, you know how hard I worked to keep that site alive. I did twice as many shows as RAW/Warzone and I made sure to give everyone a fair chance.
Those of you who have only been with us since Revolution, I can't help but feel a bit sorry. You haven't seen me at nearly my best. I was 50% by the time Revolution got going and now I feel I'm down to 25%. Because of your enthusiasm, activity and drive, it made me want to stick around and try to give you guys the show you deserved. I don't think I can do that anymore. Unlike the old regimen, I know when to step aside and that's where hopefully you guys come in.
Just some backstory, I have been wanting to step down for awhile now. At first I thought it was just too big of a workload and I just needed a break. Unfortunately the Tapatalk fiasco happened and I only got a brief break but I did feel better. Wasn't long until I found myself with a lack of motivation again. Originally I was just going to step away and let Crann take over with someone else being his assistant. The roster got too big, with like 34 people, We were going to start a tag division but Crann said he didn't know if he could manage that number either. We decided to split into two brands and I figured with less people to worry about and less matches needing to be written, I could handle things. I think I still can handle things but I know I wouldn't be giving you guys the show you deserve.
Anyone who is interested in becoming the Head Writer of Revolution, send me a PM on Discord. Crann and I will go over the applicants and basically give you an interview. Everyone can fantasy book, that's the easiest part of the job. What we're really looking for is how you judge, your work ethic and how you interact with everyone. So let me know if you're interested and we'll try and get things started right away. Your experience level doesn't matter, I became a Head Writer after writing 3 matches.
If we end up not finding a new Head Writer, we will move back down to one brand with Crann running things. The titles will be unified and we will bring in Tag Team titles. As far as my involvement in the fed, I'll take a break from all forms of writing but will still be in the discord. I'll probably come back to TTing but I won't write matches or book anything.
